We make online purchases with debit cards whenever we can't use Paypal. Pretty much all disposable income is going on the kids (extracurriculars, excursions coz we homeschool, but haven't been doing nearly enough of that because currently all available money and some that isn't supposed to be is going on dental bills).

Think your plan is pretty much the same as J's (though he refuses to invest in any type of currency crypto or fiat and is sticking with...I'm not even sure what actually but he's making it work), except as we have a good chunk of house (paying off mortgage yay) we're concentrating on paying the rest of it off and doing up what we could as construction-related prices also seem to be down.

I don't have a lot to play with but I've recently decided from next pay cycle to reorganise some things and see if the paltry amount I can't really spare but am going to try is enough to start accumulating crypto (most of that is going on steem and splinterlands cards, the rest I'm going to be cycling through two cryptos I'm interested in and three I don't care about but just grabbing for the same reason I was on dA and "should" be on fb).

You married an Englishman ;D

What I like about steem is that it makes people think about what they are investing and placing their money in now. I reckon a lot of people are adjusting as it is pretty easy to see through being here that the global economy is not looking good, something that they don't mention too much on the news - until after the fact.
