Thanks for the explanation about the failsafe kicking in. That makes sense. 

There has always been a difference in the price of steem on the internal market compared to outside markets but this failsafe is something I had no memory of.

Good to see the trending page looking so much better and so fast too.

I agree that Steem is going to be the main trading pair for all smt's etc but I also think that steem could displace bitcoin dominance.

Think about the problems people faced in the last bull run.

To do any tx on bitcoin cost a fortune in fees and it was slow as hell taking days to complete a trade! 

By which time the price could have shifted massively.

Steem is the answer to all those problems. I see a very bright future.

The new 50/50 is great for curation as you know and it takes the pressure off of 'having' to post so much.
