Say steev, I was gonna say you forgot to use the right tags, but I feel you know what you're doing.

What you just posted about intelligence in animals is actually one if the reasons why people become vegetarians. When we see animals as more than meat bags, then some form of hesitation should come over us b4 killing them, personally can't stand to see a chicken or a cow slaughtered.

Also, intelligence in animals is still pretty confusing, I mean, does a chicken know why I'm feeding it fat? Why doesn't it run/escape when I open the cage?

What did I get wrong with the tags? I wonder how much people use them anyway. 

Our relationship with animals is complex, but I just try to encourage thinking about it. We keep chickens, but have no intention to kill them. They are sort of pets who also give us eggs. We will try to give them a good life. 

I don't think most animals can plan like we do, but they have a form of consciousness.

o, alright i see, better not let your chickens near a commercial chicken farm, horror awaits,

about the tag, was gonna say you have one left, but its all good. 

I would love to see a animals plan though:) animal farm comes to mind. . . .

Human intelligence means we can be especially devious and often cruel. We know some animals can solve problems and they can show concern for other animals, or even people. Mind you, I don't rate my chickens are being too smart. I'll still treat them well.

I don't always use all the tags if I can't think of five. Some I use are fairly unique. I've noticed that the feeds for tags are not working so well lately. I'll see one post when I know there are lots more.
