It's just a roleplaying session writeup :) I decided to try them out as a couple of people who are also into roleplaying mentioned that they like seeing what goes on at other people's tables.  Currently I'm trying to catch up with the sessions I've done so far in my current games so I'm posting a bit more frequently than usual, once I'm caught up I'm hoping to just be posting the writeups on Sundays (which is today and I have an event on today as well aaaaahhhhhhhh).  System is World of Darkness.   The player party is nice and mixed, 16yo's character is a Gurahl (werebear), 12yo's is a Redcap (Fae/Changeling, which are not like DnD changelings as far as I can tell), C's is a Corax (wereraven) and T's is an Ananasi (werespider).

LoL! I am going to assume you're a good roleplayer then, 16yo and C are both very good roleplayers XD

(not to say that 12yo and T aren't, they're not quite as good yet but developing nicely)

Hahhah, i would still consider myself a noob. I know the basics such as spell slots and hiding, but im lost when it comes to calculating projectile speed and status effects priority. 

Which comes 1st the *(Character on fire for some reason/ Might be the oil i brought) (2nd turn) Burn per turn damage or the saving roll to see if i managed to put out myself by rolling on the ground.

Who knew carrying around oil then set a blaze by fireball was so hazardous. *Note to self leave leather bag behind before battle.

*Bag gets stolen. LOL

But all jokes aside. Try mixing it up with homebrewed rules to improve the pacing of the game, for me especially combat. Pacing is the thrill killer.

I guess thats about it, im not really a stickler to the rules that much. Hahha i usually let the GM keep track of it and just follow what he says. In terms of playing, as the post indicates. Better to leave out infrequent players because they create holes and problems for the table as a whole.

Simply having more players doesn't always equal to better experience, especially if some of them are gone half of the time. So sorry ryivhnn i have to politely decline.

At this stage almost everything I do is homebrew and fudge.  I somewhat streamlined the WoD combat to be quicker as doing it "properly" takes too long (I usually have 3-5 players) and I'll just roll with things that make sense.  The kids probably know the actual rules better than I do as I got them addicted to the system and they've read the books a lot more thoroughly a lot more recently than I have but they seem to like my rulings better as the only thing I've been contested on is damage and even then they seem to prefer or at least be okay with my fudges.

I'm at a stage of making my own dice system to see if I can make something a bit less convoluted (so far it feels like a solid no but I haven't actually play tested it properly yet, just been doing a bunch of random test rolls while writing the initial ruleset) and easily hackable and modular (this one is a solid yes but it might also be too hackable and modular and paralyse people with the sheer lack of guidelines and the appeal to just doing what makes sense and is most fun for everyone).
