|Zwischen Weihnachten und Neujahr waren mein Sohn und ich mit meinem Schwager in Ellund und Umgebung zum angeln. Das hat ihm so gut gefallen, dass er das gerne regelmäßig machen möchte. Also habe ich meine alten Angelsachen vom Dachboden geholt und wir haben das alles mal durchgeschaut. |Between Christmas and New Year, my son and I went fishing with my brother-in-law in Ellund and the surrounding area. He liked it so much that he would like to do it regularly. So I got my old fishing stuff from the attic and we looked through it all. |
|Da die mittlerweile schon bestimmt 15 Jahre unbenutzt dort lagen, war da auch nicht mehr alles in Ordnung. Scheinbar ist es im Sommer dort auch sehr heiß was seinen Teil dazu beitrug. |Since they had been lying there unused for at least 15 years, everything was no longer in order. Apparently it is also very hot there in the summer which contributed its part.|
|So gab es im Vorfeld dann noch einen Ausflug zum hiesigen Angelshop. Dort haben wir alles nötige dann dazu gekauft, und waren für den ersten Angelausflug gewappnet. |So there was in advance then still a trip to the local fishing store. There we bought everything we needed and were ready for the first fishing trip.|

|Ein paar Tage später ging es dann auch los. Früh morgens auf zum Angelteich. Wir sind dann hier schnell über die Grenze in die Niederlande zu einem Angelverein bei dem ich als Kind / Jugendlicher bereits Mitglied war. |A few days later it went off. Early in the morning to the fishing pond. We are then here quickly across the border in the Netherlands to a fishing club where I was already a member as a child / teenager.|
|Gefangen haben wir leider nix. Wir hatten einen dicken Burschen an der Leine aber der ist uns leider aufgrund der schlechten Qualität des Equipments abgerissen. Wäre der erste Karpfen für meinen Sohn gewesen. Im Winter hatte er ja einen schönen Hecht gefangen. |Unfortunately we caught nothing. We had a fat fellow on the line but that is unfortunately torn off us due to the poor quality of the equipment. Would have been the first carp for my son. In the winter he had caught a nice pike.|
|Leider war es aufgrund der Bissknappheit dann doch etwas langweilig für ihn, so dass ich ihn da nicht für den ganzen Tag von seinem Handy abhalten konnte 😅|Unfortunately, it was due to the bite scarcity then but a bit boring for him, so I could not keep him there for the whole day from his phone 😅|

|Schön war es trotzdem und wir haben uns vorgenommen das öfter zu machen. Bei dem ganzen Pubertätsgerangel was wir in letzter Zeit oft hier zu Hause haben ein schöner Ausgleich um Zeit zusammen zu verbringen. |It was nice anyway and we have resolved to do that more often. With all the puberty tussle what we have lately often here at home a nice balance to spend time together.|

|Wir haben im Nachgang jetzt neue Schnur auf die Angeln gezogen da die alte doch schon recht porös scheint. So sollte uns beim nächsten Trip nicht das Equipment einen Strich durch die Rechnung machen. |We have in the aftermath now pulled new line on the fishing rods because the old but already seems quite porous.
