Unfortunately, most destinies aren't tied to financial accomplishments, it might be a simple task like helping one achieve their goals or solving a crisis that might have led to a conflict. Destiny is more spiritual than scientific, it's a divine contract with mysteries that cannot be explained. It gets to a point in a man's life when he questions the purpose of his existence and who he truly is, it's a point when one pant after answers for his reckless living, it's a point when one draws desire to fulfill a cause and that's where the insight of one's destiny is birth.

Several times the bible would comment on one's situation and say "it was for this course that he was born". This means ,there's a course for which we were born, we may never get in touch with it until we get to that point when we are fed up with living a common life, no one was born just to pass through the hardship of this world and die at the end without fulfilling a course. However, it's possible to live without fulfilling that course and this is because one gets entangled with wrong notions about life and grows to a point when he is comfortable with it.
Getting rich and richer may not be the destiny of many, especially if the wealth accumulated doesn't solve one problem of humanity. Wealth may just be a benefit to help one enjoy the life we live in but not to serve purpose, while for others it's purpose. Destiny exists, everyone is born with a purpose but such a purpose can be missed if one chooses comfort. Everything created on planet earth has a purpose and this includes humans. But it requires a conscious digging to have a knowledge of it, else, one might just live like a common man who lived life with no joy that he lived a fulfilled life.
