| body | "This year will mark 15 years since we moved to this small seaside town.
In a sense, we have slowly become *"locals"* here... and we are glad to call this our home, even after various trials and tribulations along the way.
Although we ended up owning and running an art gallery for while, that was never our *intention* when we moved here.
However, we *did* feel a strong attraction to the vibrant art scene here.
The thing about living at the end of a peninsula is that you are surrounded by water... on three sides. And since the peninsula is only a few miles across, we have that special kind of *"light"* that many painters love because of the very high rate of reflection off the water.
So, of course, this town is also home to lots of artists!
The days of the Red Dragonfly as a physical art gallery might be gone, but lots of great art can still be found here... and I continue to feel inspired by the maritime imagery around us.
Still trying to decide what will come next for this blog... in the meantime, just a few artistic images from our world!
