I think only strict unity is, that's just coercion by another name.

I think unity is used euphemistically here (@stellabelle maybe you can clarify), more to do with solving problems, "getting on with it", encouraging cooperation. Not falling out or completely losing faith in the platform and leaving.

In any case there's a place for these kind of non technical ideas. It's a _social_ network after all.
