Insert shortcuts into Steemit Create post page with Markdown

When writing a post, Steemit has two options:

1 - [Markdown](https://github.com/adam-p/markdown-here/wiki/Markdown-Cheatsheet)

2 - Editor

The options can be changed by toggling the *Editor/Markdown* button before starting to write anything into the *Create a post* tab.

Steemit is missing from the markdown form of editing the shortcuts that other interfaces of the Steem blockchain have as [Utopian](https://utopian.io/) or [Busy](https://busy.org/) for example. 

Here is a screenshot from the Busy interface where there are highlighted the formatting shortcuts for Markdown.

The Steemit interface has not implemented yet these shortcuts while they are already in many text editors which accept markdown formatting. 

Implementing shortcuts for markdown will make writing of the articles easier for all the users and also will increase the learning curve for users who are not aware of using markdown because they will be able to see tool-tips and examples of the formatting like in the following screenshot:

This is good information. I never realized that you can toggle to an editor format. I always use stackedit editor for markdown, then copy to post. This will make it much easier to post directly from Steemit.

I understand you, but I don't personally like that editor because it does not use markup directly and I ttmend not to trust it. The editor from busy on the other side has exactly the functionality that Steemit needs :)

Great point. I am too lazy to learn mark up, but my blogs are a bit long and could do with some emphasis. I draw my own crappy pictures, I guess I could add a few more to break up the text. Did not know about the editor option, will try that next time I write. Thanks, very useful.
