in my opinion every passing day of our life is a sort of story, if we recall our memories there are so much things present in our past that we still have to share with this world, if i go back and dig my memories so i found so much to post e.g my first day at school there is a great story behind it, how i lost my school bag by playing game at games shop there is another great message hidden behind it and it should be another great post, how i get back to my house when i lost the path and crying and walking on an unknown path and there are so much more written on my life blockchain, that i can share with my fellow steemians.

Thanks @surpassinggoogle for telling us a right path to work in steemit and your every post is a sort of great inspiration for me and it gives us new vision to work on steemit, keep up your good work my friend and have a very happy and cheerful weekend ahead, thanks for sharing.

before steemit I felt like just doing much of nothing with my life/time. like I was just waking up, checking my email, spending way to much time on facebook, sitting around, eating, and some other non productive or meaningless things.. oh, and working out, that was the one good one.

Now there is steemit! and no matter how long I spend on here, it's time well spent.. I am contributing.. doing something.. working towards a great goal.. helping. I write posts about my everyday stuff, but I now ask myself before I make a new post.. how can this help others in the steemit community, or, how can someone out there maybe search for this info and might find my steemit post, and maybe find steemit through that. so cool.

I do feel very welcomed as well, this is why I'm still here and this is why I do explain to the people that I work with what is steemit. I even saw a homeless man selling his drawings on the street and I told him to go on Steemit.com and to post his drawings(I've got a picture with his drawings but I can't send it ). I do have so much fun. There is always something to do.

It's funny how the human brain works. Adhering to encouraging words from those who have seen struggle themselves and emerged stronger is worth everything, in my opinion. In [my last post](https://steemit.com/untalented/@aymen.mazhar/on-the-who-of-the-untalented-me-in-response-to-surpassinggoogle), I had merely given my person an ambiguous outline, and yet @surpassinggoogle had deep insights. It's a gift to be able to find and see the good in people, the extraordinary in the #untalented.

So here I am again, back for a word of encouragement and the drive to go a few extra miles, perhaps? Isn't that what humans thrive on? We're designed to thrive and bloom on external (as well as internal) appreciation, love and warmth.

I'll be doing my second post for the before and after Steemit later today. In response to this post:

I've been working since I was 16, for the cute little jellyballoon my mother is, and for my two younger sisters. For a series of reasons I couldn't go to one of my dream colleges even upon acceptance: Amherst, Sarah Lawrence, NYU - and decided to stay back here and contribute to the family instead. When I say my biggest goal in life is to keep the spark in the eyes of the ones I love shining, I do not take the responsibility lightly - I do not merely say it because it sounds nice to the ears, or that it makes me sound like a writer with an aim to eventually get quoted on this very idea - behind these words is almost 2 decades of disillusionment. I say it because I HAVE seen the spark fade in their eyes, and tears replace them, and that's as close to death, desolation and failure I've ever been in person. Maybe it's because my soul isn't just in my body. A little bit of my soul is in everyone I love (very few people) and I feel physical pain seeing them shed tears. My aspirations and goals have always revolved around this particular thought - what will make them happy? Help them get a good night's sleep?

So I started in overdrive - I gave up studying and empowered my mum to start a daycare, now she has a few little babies she loves to teach, bring up and care for. I empowered her to get training for the development of autistic children and now she's certified to educate them (that in no way means I'm taking any credit for her expertise and her enthusiasm to help children and contribute to their personal growth, merely that I tried what I could to make sure she went at it with full force). That's her dream right there.

I earned enough to be able to sustain my sisters' educations to take that off my parents (especially mum). You don't realize how parasitical stress is till it starts to drown under the waves of hope - and I only realized it when I saw my mum bloom and shine and turn into this happy, smiling lady for the first time in all my years - she would come and hold me and share all her fears and predicaments with me. In the quest of helping those I love, I not only fell in love with the people they were becoming, but the fact that I had gotten a very new best friend.

While I wouldn't trade that liberating experience for anything in the world, I silently (and sometimes otherwise) coped with my own anxiety - it sometimes got to me, and I sometimes resorted to self-doubt and self-deprecation. Just a few months before joining Steem, I faced unemployment and didn't know where the next paycheck was coming from, especially with my mum and her slightly hopeful eyes.

If you ever think you can take on the entire world with it's consuming storms and sometimes crushing realities without having your own personal let-out, your own personal productive addiction and means of coping, you'll soon find yourself tired, exhausted and wanting to give up.

There is someone I have recently started owing my happiness and peace of mind to. Someone who has stuck the difficult phase out and is ready for more to come without any selfish interests.

For me, it's that person who I have learned to enjoy Steemit with - my means of coping. It's been a month and it hasn't given a lot to my pocket, but it's given me more strength, more drive, a higher threshold, more hope. I've met people from all over the world and have fallen in love. They have inspired me, including yourself, Terry, and I have learned from them. Steemit has also given me the perfect outlet for me to use whenever I feel to it. I can write about anything, with autonomy and liberty, and it always helps me breathe better, but not just that. Steemit has helped me find my personal ways of growth, through some magical way of inspiring and encouraging. I was finally able to really start a novel (trying since the last many years) and posted the [first part of the novel: Conundrum](https://steemit.com/philosophy/@aymen.mazhar/novel-conundrum-prologue) not too long ago, (do let me know what you guys think).

Steemit is more than therapeutic for me, it's more than chamomile tea or a have-it-all Nutella jar, it's more than comfort food or curling up in a corner in your blanket. Someday I might just find the right words and not draw comparisons to make you understand, but I'm still discovering what it is to me.

Just like when I fell several times, i didn't want to get up anymore. I was tired of falling and I have got no one to help me stand on my feet.

I must become what I wish to become. The BATMAN? Yes the BATMAN. A man of principles and disciplines. No matter the situation at hand, I always find my way out. Maybe mother-nature saw everything. I don't know but she blessed me with steemit and told me to be the BATMAN of steemit. The way is wide open now and the journey seems long. Wouldn't mind taking a break along the line. 

The question is whether taking a break is the best thing to do.  Thanks Terry

Everything said it all. I'm a facebook users and I spend a lot of time browsing and having chichat with friends, ulpoading photos and videos. Then I became a fan of instagram since then I started exploring the social media other than facebook. It took time to post beautiful photos in instagram to gain a lot of followers. But when I met the steemit it change my perception towards to different social media. Now, I completely happy being part of this community with surround by supportive and friendly people around the globe that brought me a lot of positive vibes, perceptions towards life and learnings. And I don't mind whenever I spend my whole time by scrolling, reading, commenting and upvoting posts here. Because in every thing I did here is worth my time. Okay so...speaking of Steemit....Before I joined the site, I was just one boring kind of person lol I mean, Just doing my mommy and wifey thing. I don't really  do much online. Steemit make me get out of my comfort zone. I met a lot of inspiring people and those who are like me. These days, I am enjoying my stay and when I am offline, I pretty much talk about Steemit itself. I have invited a couple friends on here too and now active bloggers. Thank you, Steemit family and of course, the whale of Pinoys... @surpassinggoogle . Thanks a lot, Terry! You know what I mean :D

The beauty about steemit is the breaking of barriers and taking one out of the comfort zone.

Since my early days, I was into sports.. Really wanted to be a professional cricketer or a table tennis player representing my country at an international level. Sadly enough, if you even dare to dream of wearing that green Pakistan shirt with your name on it and playing for your country, either you need to bribe millions for that, or you need to have some really good contacts at the top. Well, obviously didn't have either of that, so I went on and tried to pursue higher education abroad. Due to not-so-good-looking financial turmoil at home, had to give up that, too. In between, I did have some serious interest in music as well, and the first time I actually compiled some tracks for a school play, well, that was the phase of me wanting to be Hans Zimmer someday. Again, third world country with all the problems you can imagine, so yes, going for a music school was out of the list, too. Soon I had to start with a 9-5 at a software house while I was doing my Bachelor's and while I write this, I am still at that software house working my ass off to meet ends for my family and the ones who look up to me.

Life before steemit was actually a kinda past I don't want to talk about until I succeed in here. But you just got me doing that right now..... 

Thinking about those days, in GNLD thing, though they're gone.. A sort of multi level marketing stuff.. It sucks when you get to a point and you get stuck... You know what I mean na? 

With the sweet talk of the GNLD mafias, I injected all my savings hoping I'd wake up next day with my room full of cash...as Diamond Director was sweet to hear. 
Don't get me wrong, sone did make..but it is actually the inventors of the sub-platform. 

I got discouraged and weary - the motivators as they would address themselves back off when they see you absent in the so-called endless training  for say two days... And I was left with where to begin. 

Should i mention how Mavrodi's thing got my hard earned gulped Just in a blink of eye? Naa don't want to thread on that right now cos I hate myself when I remember that. 

Though life wasn't that bad few weeks after then and before steemit... But I must tell you steemit is worth giving all the productive time.. 'cos you can see as witness as you succeed or fail. 

Funny and special thing about steemit is you can see as success or failure approaches unlike other schemes where it's sudden. 

I love steemit....

You know when @stellabelle in one of her posts explained that you had the "*heart of a whale, all you needed was to be noticed "*.
I quite didn't piece it together until I saw this :

## Who I was Before The Steem Blockchain 

I was a searcher, I was lost and in need of media to express myself. I have a lot to tell the world about my background and family, about my failures and disappointments,  about my successes and strengths. 

But at the same time I also needed a platform where I could share all these without being judged for who I am and what I've become (well, you can't eat your cake and have it, can you) 

But here on Steemit, I can actually eat my cake and still have it. I participated in the #untalented contest and since that day, I felt I burden leave my chest. 

**I'm free.**

Steemit made me free to tell the world I had a difficult childhood growing up. But this is who I am and I'm thankfully fit everything. I've said enough already but I'm grateful for having someone like you @surpassinggoogle on the platform.

Yo Terry! :) sup? glad to see another post from u when I got on steemit 2day. I really like the.. tired of knocking? well then, find a rock.. a hammer.. a screwdriver..' u mean to keep knocking using those, right? not to break down or dismantle the door..?? :P

hey terry.. what is word salad? and what the alien part?

before steemit I felt like just doing much of nothing with my life/time. like I was just waking up, checking my email, spending way to much time on facebook, sitting around, eating, and some other non productive or meaningless things.. oh, and working out, that was the one good one.

Now there is steemit! and no matter how long I spend on here, it's time well spent.. I am contributing.. doing something.. working towards a great goal.. helping.  I write posts about my everyday stuff, but I now ask myself before I make a new post.. how can this help  others in the steemit community, or, how can someone out there maybe search for this info and might find my steemit post, and maybe find steemit through that. so cool.

Good stuff, started reading and stumbled across my earlier comment about steemgigs, thanks for the shoutout. I really like the concept of connectivity steemgigs brings, on the internet and even in real life. My posts have been very random in subject matter for the reason you just described. I didn't want to get stuck on one or two things. I never had before, so I didn't want to start because it was the most profitable. It's harder to find the audience when your subject matter changes often, but I expect in the audience that's there is better! Anyway, keep up the good work. You are appreciated!

I am grateful. As for audience, there is a way to broaden the umbrella of the genre so that it cover everything. For instance #untalented started and it can easily form a branch under @steemgigs. It has really helped me. Before steemgigs, i was getting many ideas and losing them all.

Hahaha, i tell you, you can bring the laundry here. Papa-pepper did this. But ofcourse, you can do other things too. 

People have created an entire venture where "they got paid for doing nothing". 

Someone made millions simply having regular soaps made in the shape of toys, so kids will love to bath. 
Even laundry can be made magic.
But your path is great and the health one too. Your case, isn't very hard overall. You are doing well pace-wise. I try to teach these things. We'll play a bit under the #untalented curriculum, let's see beauty unfold. I will try put up a second contest soon

how great this post is Terry!!!! my life in the past is very good , living life to the fullest but my life today with steemit is better, why? how can you not love this supportive community, in steemit we can do great things, reach out, free education, mood enhancer,  knowledge booster, we can show our talents! boom i figured that steemit is about helping each other it can changed peoples lives, people in steemit do care purely, no racist and all are equal!  i  am not a writer nor fluent in English but in steemit i try to improve and write what my thoughts are that i havent been done before, especially consistently haha :P i also helped my family , and brought people in the community with the aim of truly helping them by heart.

I was a slave, used to work like an animal, 18 hours a day! Resigned from my jobs in January and April 2017 and started my own business that failed. Fortunately, I found Steemit while going through a blog, checked it and immediately signed up. My life before Steemit was aimless, I never knew what I wanted to do, infact my father didn't allow me to do what I wanted to do.

After I got my login details, I saw some posts in the trending sections that made a lot of bucks, I thought to write on same topics that can earn me a lot of money. Wrote two or three filthy posts but then I asked myself "WTF I am doing?" You don't like writing about BTC or health or crypto world, write what you like, write what you think and let the world know that you're special with no skills.

Thanks to someone inside me who gave me the idea of writing about ordinary people, started a series "Untold Stories of Unsuccessful Persons" and posted <a href ="https://steemit.com/life/@ghulammujtaba/untold-stories-of-unsuccessful-persons-episode-19-muhammad-shareef">19th episode</a> of this series.

I always wished to draw and do some programming stuff but as I mentioned above, my father put some restrictions on things I loved, so thanks to Steemit, who gave me courage to start learning these skills at the age of 30. Just drew @exyle portrait on illustrator yesterday and it's just fine. Learning web development as well and will be a full stack Wordpress Developer after 4 months. I haven't killed my dreams yet.

Guide for you can happen in that chats. Most times i will admonish climbing the ladder first before going that route but you are really passionate about it, go for it but have a twist. Determine your type of audience and use that lane to reach out to them. In anything, to have full impact, you will have had to grow in your substance.

Before coming to  steemit I was trying hard to learn as much as possible about Cryptocurrencies
So I was  day and nights  watching crypto and learning about this great new game 
But since discovering steemit.com I've been hook here  
My goals were to organise myself And return to Romania by the end of this year to buy a house and start making a small solar panel farm
Something tiny really but good enough for a decent living of a small family 👪
Now that I have steemit and since I have already a place of mine to stay in London I will not go to Romania and instead  I will invest some cash in steemit.com with my girlfriend @artaddict
We truly believe that by working hard on our posts and investing a bit of our cash we can in the future  help Minnows as you are doing now 
We are not interested in power downs as we want to keep growing our accounts 
I have met great Steemians on Steemit.com but you are the greatest
Learning from you it's A blessing

Before steemit, I've been in lots of online investment with 90% turning out to be scam, the last of which was a fraudulent cloud mining firm, which ran away with a lot of our money. We were in group looking for that legitimate money-making venture online. It was in that quest that I was watching a YouTube video and someone said, in the comment section, that there is a site that you would be paid to blog called steemit. People in the comment section shouted him down, he said it's their loss that he is off to make money that we can either follow or continue wasting our time here. It struck a cord in my mind, his unwillingness to fight or reply as I've seen many times in people doing shady deals, plus the lack of referral link in the url he dropped, aroused my curiosity so much I signed up. It's crazy, but it's been a rollercoaster ride ever since. Loads of things learnt and even more to be learnt ahead. To borrow your phrase, you are a whale to me. Keep surpassing. Keep steeming.

It's funny how the human brain works. Adhering to encouraging words from those who have seen struggle..before steemit I felt like just doing much of nothing with my life/time.

The truth is that there is this unspoken knowledge that moves around the globe that only those who pay attention will find it.

It happens that i am working on a post about goals and aspiration. Almost done though before i saw this your post. 

Now let's relate. Stay with me this might be long. Before steemit was me with big dreams.
1. A good 2.1 grade upon graduation and distinction in law school. 

2. A novel by the end of my schooling journey, though not stated it yet. Still waiting for the perfect time. 

3. Success and comfort for family before leaving school, steemit gave me a green light. 

4. Law practice at the highest level and retire a sound judge. 

So now, i believe you have seen my view, you ideas to bring it to steemit would be appreciated. 

The post i want to make is almost cooked. I need the flavour of your experience to make it better.

Well like you said before i knew about steemit i was into earning bitcoins from different faucets like moonbitcoin,bitsler and freebitco.in but after alot of trials i didnt even get just a dollar but then @ambmicheal introduced me to steemit and boom my first week i got paid anf since then ive been inviting family and friends to join steemit and non of them has ever complained about it .....well today marks my 31st day on steemit and i got paid at least twice .......steemit is awesome because of people like you @surpassinggoogle

A close friend of mine who was looking at me so worriedly once asked, "how will you fund your nursing home with your pension?" 
My answer "they will eat what I will eat!" Thinking of course, that by then I have already my own land, a house and a sustaining garden.
Perhaps Steemit will help me further in that goal in the future. But then, it is pushing me now to do things i have hoped to be doing years ago. It brought people that want the same thing as me, and with them it opened a door for me to be greater than I was.

Before I found steemit I post my beatbox videos on Facebook and I don't even earn out of it. I don't even get some inspirations from the people there in Facebook. I really feel that my talent is very awful and no one likes it. I just keep on practicing on beatbox but time after time,the same treatment I get from it. It was so frustrating at that time to have that thoughts. I really wish I could get any inspirations or encouragements from everyone. It is a nightmare before I found steemit. That is my story before I found steemit.

But I have been thinking and planning to promote Steemit in my local community and beyond, just like you!
Just finished having a quick look at your previous posts ad found your ‘Gift Card’ 
I will adopt a similar headline on the cards. 
I had in mind a larger card than the standard business card and include a blank space for people to write their own account name and pass it on to their friends when they are finished with it.

There are ways to continue that all in large measure even on steemit. I speak so so so much of the bible in my posts but you may not know, because it is not very frontal. but when you guide people into the best versions of themselves, it brings them closer to morals even divinity. Ways to learn about Jehovah God is true his world but also by looking intently at his creation. Too, truly understanding the bible and love which is at the core of true Christianity takes depth and that is the reality, so i teach these thing, so i think in that aspect, we are on the same route but slightly different approach. I also also advocate positive thinking and faith but to tackle these in a community with different beliefs etc, there is an approach, to be more effective. I think you will grasp what i am saying. This is my special advice. You can definitely bring these same things that you were and shine with it here on steemit

To be honest I do alot of gaming and nothing to do much aside from work before steemit, steemit is the one that got me back to arts again. What did I do before steemit, actually I tried to live life in the best way we could do. Take care for others, have a smile on our face, work, sports and make friends. Here on steem those "things"from life could be shared as wel and that brings fun for all of us.
About the knocking; I see it not as positive, for evrything what you want, there must be energy putted in. And if you like what you do; it is actualy not enerfgy putting in; but I become energy from doing.
I also think it is the same for you; I know how hard things could be; but again and again you like to be here on steem and bring us all together. See continue knocking (read building) this great platform.

This post has gone a long way in stiring up the zeal to continue what i always do. Guess i will need a chain-saw to break open any door that deny me passage.

<h2>Before Steemit I found peace in my writings (which i still do), but i write just to clear my head off various thoughts about life and so on. </h2>

Will have to confess, having rededicated my time to steemit (guess i was backsliding then), i have developed the urge to learn more about creative writing and few other things that will help me reach out to people with a positive message.

For some steemians when they do not find the right steps in steemit, they slowly disappear and die in steemit. many of my friends resigned because they did not get the most out of it, somehow even the local language curator did not reward them. Good morning @surpassinggoogle  before steemit I had no idea about bitcoins and other currencies. Still don't but I am slowly learning. I loved to blog before and was just playing games and watching Netflix and most especially taking care of my Mom who has Alzheimer. That experience made me write about this disease so other will be aware and I earned a lot on that. SO it made me more driven to share my thoughts , feelings and ideas here . I still have many dreams and goals even at my age and maybe will share it here too. Thank you for your support and your posts that helps a lot,

This is such a smooth jump into getting to know everybody, getting to know the stories of Steemians before they were Steemians. I look forward to reading about some of the journeys that people have been through and how it landed them at @Steemit . Also what is driving you to keep coming back to Steemit. ??

So, it started in 1988, i am 29, the youngest of 4 siblings. Was not too smart through out school years. Down quite some years i graduated with a Master's Degree in Marketing in 2012. Right after that I ventured into a clothing business that took off really well and met its down fall 3 months after break even. Learned a lot, it was a loss monetary and emotional, when you spend days and nights with the labour force helping them because in your mind you might just speed up the process towards completion and actually doing business.

I am an artist with OCD at heart. Music is a very important part of my life, exploring music, diagnosing music even making music. I admire all arts.
When I am in the process of music creation, it has to be driven, it has to be fumed. I do not make music every day. Its a way of letting go, expression for me so it has to occur naturally.

A huge dog fan, I am the guy whose friends can not just walk in, they have to call me confirm where my dogs are, if they are loose or in their kennel because one of them is a Rottweiler and the other is a Pitbull. :) Love your dogs, they are not to be made money off. If you are someone whose a 'dog owner' just for the sake of making money in shows or breeding. You are not a dog lover. ''Stay the f**k outta my face '' .

I am usually a humble guy and carry a calm vibe about myself. I have recently found someone special who introduced me to @Steemit, (thank you).

Before Steemit, I was blogging. My blog title is Retired in Samar. Yeah, I am an American ex-patriot who got tired of the arrogant, me-me-me, work-to-live way of life that America has become. So we sold all our assets and moved to the Philippines, where I Blog and Vlog from the islands. Recently, we moved to Guam to set up camp so we could travel more, and where I was introduced to Steemit by a blog subscriber and now friend @DocCrypto. Since joining Steemit nearly 3 months ago, I have had a few achievements - and I'll continue reaching more more. I was once a trader who buys once an order is being made, I don't buy and keep, I was also an extra lesson teacher for children below 10years and above  6years. It was a smooth and rigorous journey.

Before coming on steemit I used sit in front of my p.c and used to surf on facebook. But when i started using steemit not only I nearly quieted using social media accounts. But also bring my friends too towards this society...

### Who am I before Steemit? 
Well, nothing much has changed aside from the fact that my artworks and my effort to write are being paid off... both in finanial aspect and in moral support. Even before Steemit, I already enjoy blogging, trying to inspire people using anime or other things that I love. You may even check it [HERE](https://otakutegoshei.wordpress.com)... and as for my artworks, I post on instagram.. ^^ I do have some audiences before but I thought I wanted more people to read.. I wanted more people to tell me their reaction.. I was always thirsty for audience.. but guess what? STEEMIT gave me that.. with bonus sbd.. and bonus people like sir Terry and others who inspire me every step of the way... bonus friends from various communities! ^^ 
What I was before steem, simply evolved to someone bigger.. someone who's presence is getting noticed.. someone who has finally inspired others in one way or another...

I'm really grateful for it! ^^

Steemit only improved on the rewards for your art work.

After reading your thoughts Sir Terry, it reminds me of my four-day off.  I am currenly working in Dubai Airport with 4 days duty and 4 days off.  Still remember the time when I am not yet part of Steemit community, I was alone, bored and felt like I am doing nothing.  And it makes me feel crazy of thinking on what to do.  Because that four-day off is really a long rest and it sometimes decide me to go out which I spend alot of money since its so expensive in Dubai.

But, I am so grateful that when the time I knew about Steemit, it kept me busy, forget about four-day off, spent most of my time from interacting and creating even simple blogs.  I am very happy that I met a new family, new friends, and companions.  Steemit is a big help for me, not because I earned dollars from sharing my thoughts and daily-happenings, but it helps me to enjoy writing and meeting new families.  Thanks Terry for this post.  ☺️

This is 100percent true.  This morning I have gotten calls from two groups. One from a group in my church and one from the some students at the University of benin to come and make presentations on Steemit. I've been working since 4am and although I'm on the internet Im not on the steem blockchain. Some times I feel like I'm not being wise with my time but from time to time I read posts like this that encourages me and some comments from people I have helped the past gives me the stenght to work. 
I have also learned not to envy people with heavy payouts because they do work.  Steemit is a lot of work and I have observed that you can't cheat the blockchain. If u put in the effort.  The rewards find a way your coffers one way or the other.

On point, what is rewarded on steemit is value. And content is only one of the ways and perhaps, one of the most public ways to add value. so looking at wallets or payout at posts is not necessary. Some of those posts payouts were even triggered from the background. There is a whole ton of factors but normally i discuss stuff like this only in chats cos i do care about brothers i bare info to, to know they can carry it, so i dont just talk. for posts, i keep the message in their with codes. Only some people decode it, just the perfect audience for that aspect of it. My posts have a ton of varying audience and each one will get only what's his. As minnow, i did most of my work in chats and hours of chats cos its brotherhood for me and i am real brother. That simple

Steemit was a beckon of Hope for me.  Before I found steemit my life was basically a disaster and I was desperate. Nobody knew because I'm not one to wear my problems on my face.  But my business was failing and I had lost a huge amount of money to unfavorable natural conditions (I will write about this later)  and some ponzi scheme.  I quite my job to join a mlm which turned out to be a scam and up till now I'm still paying some people back their money because I like my integrity.  I was in debt and the only money I was using to gamble in poloniex and bittrex for some trading  profit was what I borrowed from my former boss.  Using borrowed money to trade was a terrible idea but what choice did I have.  Like I said. I was desperate.
The first time I made $2 in Steemit I cried. I wrote about it three weeks ago [here](https://steemit.com/story/@tojukaka/steemit-a-beacon-of-hope)

Right now things are looking up for me.  My heart is brimming with love and my head is brimming with ideas.  With Steemit can make some money by making other people happy and creating value and I have been able to lift up other people too . This is priceless to me.  Steemit is solace to me, a beacon of hope; an oasis in a desert.

I first  thought i was going to see a photo loaded post. However reading this makes me understand how  much potential one can achieve right here. Doing the things that are easily done before finding steemit and improving it is what I have come to understand. And also flaming the latent fire in our minds is a grear concept of eternal vision. Hi @surpassinggoogle, Congrats on writing your 3rd post of the week. You're coming back to your old routine. Good sign. Thumbs up! I'm also trying to write at least 3 posts in this week and finding it difficult but the good point is I resumed. Today, I will write my second post if everything goes as plan. So, wish me luck!

Regarding your post, you've rightly mentioned that life is not easy and we've to push it.

Can No + No + No eventually = one Yes?

The answer is; "Yes!"

Very well said but most of the people don't understand this _push_ thing. So, please allow me to unfold it to some extent. We, the humans are a mix of good and bad things/emotions/energies...whatever you name it, your call. What will be our next action is highly dependent on numerous factors. In simple words, we can say that this is a battle between our inner self and the outer world. Let's say, I want to write an article at Steemit and I'm continuously failing because of several factors like I want to take revenge from someone, toothache, self-criticism, perfectionism, noise of kids or a dog or may be that of a hen or cat, slow internet, the second and third task on the daily activity list and so on. Some of these factors are internal whereas the other ones are external factors. I personally believe, if your inner self is strong, you can beat the outer environment. But if there are storms inside you, even the serenest and calmest environment will be feeling like a very noisy place. So, when we start saying YES to the things that our outer environment says are not possible, we might fail initially. However, with continuous practice, I mean by saying YES to all the NOs several times, there will come a moment when your inner YES will mute the outer NOs. This is where you will beat all the _distractions_. This is where you get maximum focus and your life becomes smooth. I will take this writing example to the next level. You might have seen writers who come up with a lot of content on daily basis, do exercise, have wife and kids and business and all aspects of their lives seem at the right place. In our industry, we call these people _successful_ because they have achieved a lifestyle and above all, _they're happy with what they are doing._

So, what's the sum up of this discussion? Things look beautiful when they are in harmony or at their right places. Every human is a gem because s/he has got a gift of uniqueness that s/he has to discover and then use to solve the problems of the world. In my view, this is the purpose of life. Edison used this gift and gave back to humans. We have internet facility because someone used his unique gift from nature to give back to the humanity. We see countless things in the world that are gifts from people like us.

**So, the biggest question is finding one's self/uniqueness/gift and then using it to give back the humanity. In my view, this is the way, how we bring revolution to the world. This is the _theme_ or topic of Terry's today's post: The Human Behind The Steemian**. Let's find that human and whatever we want from life, we'll get automatically.

Before Steemit? - Already lived 29 years of my life, went through some of the best moments of life, followed by what they label as 'failures' and 'moments of distress' in a broader perspective. What i remember from those 29 years is the urge to 'try', right after each blow I had, each time I got knocked down to the ground in one way or another. But it was about time that I was giving up on myself in a lot of different ways.

Since my early days, I was into sports.. Really wanted to be a professional cricketer or a table tennis player representing my country at an international level. Sadly enough, if you even dare to dream of wearing that green Pakistan shirt with your name on it and playing for your country, either you need to bribe millions for that, or you need to have some really good contacts at the top. Well, obviously didn't have either of that, so I went on and tried to pursue higher education abroad. Due to not-so-good-looking financial turmoil at home, had to give up that, too. In between, I did have some serious interest in music as well, and the first time I actually compiled some tracks for a school play, well, that was the phase of me wanting to be Hans Zimmer someday. Again, third world country with all the problems you can imagine, so yes, going for a music school was out of the list, too. Soon I had to start with a 9-5 at a software house while I was doing my Bachelor's and while I write this, I am still at that software house working my ass off to meet ends for my family and the ones who look up to me.

After Steemit - Well, after my colleague and a very good friend of mine, @ghulammujtaba introduced me this wonderful platform with all the beautiful people and their stories, it didn't take me long to get addicted to this - Not only the stories I read, but all the passion, the heartbreak, the energy and liveliness I see in people through their words, it inspires me each time I log in to my account. It inspires me each time I go through a post or a comment. Numerous times I have related to people, their past events and occurrences, the way they coped up with it and never fucking gave up on themselves - that's the hope, the faith and courage I have rediscovered here, when I was, to be very honest, on the crossroads of giving up on my self and the monotony I have been part of since years.

Words do have the power to do so much! Been just a couple of months and I have already started to think in a way that I have never been able to since years. The dreams I had, the dreams that never really ended within me, have been on a long 'pause' already and for the very first time in the past so many years, I have decided to chase my dreams in music - oh yes! So what if I'm 30 now? There is never a 'too late' thing to me to be honest. I've already started to save for a piano, a basic Roland or something and soon I will be doing my own music. In addition to this, this platform has connected me to a whole lot of wonderful souls from all around the world, who I might have never known my entire life had I not been here. The struggles they've went through, the ups and downs they've seen in their lives, the laughter and the grief they've been part of.

So I thank you all out there, for opening up about your lives and all the little moments you've been part of, and certainly that's what I will be doing, too, sharing my life experiences in return - let's keep touching lives. Let's keep connecting! There are still a number of quiet, tormented souls out there and the only thing that can ignite 'life' back in them is us and our stories.

Before I learn about Steemit, I work online on various sites. Nothing really exciting on a daily basis. Now being a Steemian,  my time was spent more on being creative and felt the challenge of what to write. Steemit also gave me the opportunity to virtually meet people who shared same interests. Also gave me the feeling of belonging into a group which is a good feeling. :)
