Interesting. I have the opposite problem - I feel like videos are terminally slow and my mind wanders off. I read ten times faster than I hear, and people tend to get to the point more quickly in text anyway.

What does it wander off to though, Something you can actually think more deeply on? Maybe even though you read fast it gives the chance to vary pace or skip as you see fit, it is an active process rather than passive consumptive. I try to think slowly when I can, quickly if I must.

Usually whatever I was thinking about before the video. Reading something else gives me a little bit of a break to think about something else, which can be nice. Videos don't do that.
