It has been several years since the prominent IT companies and the most prestigious institutes came together to develop the quantum computer.

Quantum computer technology is still at the *early childhood level*, because there are a number of technical challenges to overcome in order to realize a quantum computer.

However, theoretical studies on **quantum information processing, quantum communication theory, quantum cryptography, and etc**have been progressing considerably. The related experiments have also been carried out in an attempt to **perform actual quantum numerical calculations** with a very small number of qubits (quantum information units) and meaningful results are coming out.

Therefore, it is obvious that we are ahead of *commercialization of quantum computers* in the not too distant future.

Do not be so afraid! Quantum computers and quantum cryptography are complementary relationships that overlap each other. The development of quantum algorithms and quantum processor technology for quantum computer development is itself associated with the development of quantum cryptography. There must exist ways to compete against the rising danger of quantum computers. I'm going to talk about this topic in the following chapters!

Yeap! Quantum computers and quantum cryptography are complementary relationships that overlap each other. The development of quantum algorithms and quantum processor technology for quantum computer development is itself associated with the development of quantum cryptography.
