RE: Your Comment As of late, I've allowed myself to be in a perpetual state of "OBE" - Overcome By Events (mostly end of quarter investment stuff that is so boring that it makes me wish for a coma-inducing seizure. Heavy Sigh...). My fault. I let a lot of things slide and now I am paying the price - not in the form of exorbitant fees or penalties, but in my personal life time - something I treasure and have been fortunate (aka spoiled) enough to enjoy since I retired about a decade and a half ago. My meditation routine is non-existent and my only solace are those micro mental voodoo moments. LOL! (Left hand up, right hand hovering over some ancient sutras - stolen from the British Museum): "I, JaiChai, of semi-sound mind and body, do solemnly swear that I won't neglect those f@ckin' - oops, I mean those beautifully designed and highly productive investment tracking spreadsheets. As for mediation, I don't get much time for it either. But throughout the years I've put my focus on developing Satipaį¹į¹hÄna. It's a long and hard way compared to sitting meditation. But I'd rather develop good clarity all throughout than deep meditation that will break apart after I get up (or even just open up my eyes) Over time I've seen gradual improvements in my awareness thanks to practicing Satipaį¹į¹hÄna. It even helps the occasional meditation. Buddha and many prominent monks never had to sit down and close their eyes to find their samadhi and perform miracles. >end of quarter investment stuff that is so boring that it makes me wish for a coma-inducing seizure.
