Realizing her mistake was her call, but then I gave her the taste of her medicine. 




I'm not the type who loves visiting people, and even my husband does not support it. Kemi has been a good friend of mine since scratch. We have been together and have done things together. She traveled out of town for over five years, after which she finally came back. It was a thing of joy when she came back. She showed up at my house, and I was so excited to see her. I walked to the kitchen and prepared her favorite dish. I dished the food so well and to her taste.

I served her the food, and she was excited to eat up every bit of fish and meat in the soup. We discussed and laughed over so many issues and even went back to the days when we were still in secondary school. We laughed over so many things and were happy to see each other again after five years. 




The next day, she came to my abode again. I also went to the kitchen, as it has been part of my treating my visitors nicely. I would never leave them just like that without preparing a nice dish for them to eat. She sat majestically and ate the food, as it was a well-prepared dish. I had never served my visitors with a little food but had treated them so well. 




After a week, she came to my abode again and sat. We began to discuss life and what we had not discussed before. I prepared rice and beans with a lot of fish and meat in them. She confirmed that it was a well-prepared dish. We both chatted and enjoyed the dish together. 




One day, I had to inform my husband that I would be visiting my friend the next day. He was initially objecting to my proposal, but after some moments, he gave me his consent. 




I got prepared and left for her abode. Before I left my house, I called her and said I was coming. With her voice over the phone, she was so excited. I went to her house, and she welcomed me nicely. She went to the kitchen and brought food. Maybe she had prepared for my arrival. She dished the food but placed just a single piece of meat, which looked so tiny. She served herself a plate of food. On her plate, there were about four pieces of meat and a fish, but she only gave me one piece of meat without a fish. I was boiling deep inside myself but was not ready to show my anger. We chatted while eating and laughing, but my laugh was a fake one. 




I left her abode and even told her, “Thank you for the food. I truly enjoyed it.”.

She was smiling after hearing those words of praise from me. 

When I got home, I told my husband what she had done to me as to the kind of food she served me. My husband only laughed and said, “You have seen the kind of being she is. Anytime she comes, you will serve her all the food in the house, including a lot of fish and meat. Now you can see what he paid you with." I was lamenting seriously, but I was waiting for the day she would come to my abode again. 




A week later, she called me and told me she would be coming to my house. I was happy to hear her say she was coming to my abode. I have to give her a taste of her medicine. 




She came, and we began to chat without going to the kitchen. I observed her look, but later I decided to enter the kitchen and prepare some food. I served her food with half a fish and just one tiny piece of meat on the rice. Although the rice was so rich, The little meat and half meat made her look drastically different. I dished mine and placed two laps of chicken on a full fishtail. She looked at me slightly but could not say a word.




We kept eating and chatting with each other. I gazed at her slightly and silently, unknowingly. Her look showed what she deserved. I concluded that she had got a taste of her medicine. Next time, she would learn from what just happened. 

She left without saying goodbye, but I raised my hands and told her goodbye. She shamefully answered. My husband laughed after hearing the full gusts of what I did to her.
