Music is therapeutic. Music gives calmness. If you’re in a bad state, just listen to music. I’m not saying you will get fully healed but from time to time, music has a way of making you forget your sorrows. 
In a gathering or an open place, music is needed. There was a time when I went for a naming ceremony and we all sat down there, eating and chatting with each other but there was no music and the place was very boring until we all made arrangement for a music speaker which was making everywhere bubble and everyone became happy. 

Now, music has a way of bringing us together. I have seen cases where some people just started playing music aloud and maybe have some alcohol on their table then more people will begin to come. It happens like that and that’s how music helps to bond people especially when you eventually find someone who loves your favorite artiste as much as you do.
