Hive-Engine Transition Discussion

Today I hosted a meeting with various stake holders in the Hive-Engine ecosystem.  I walk through the decisions and actions we've taken to now, and asked that various groups of stakeholders figure out how they'd like to see the next steps of the migration take place.

Written discussion happened at the same time as the verbal discussion.  All written discussion occurred in the Hive-Engine-talk channel. 

# Things of note

1.  There's currently 28 days to claim your token name.  Only the token issuer on Steem-Engine can issue a token on Hive-Engine during this period.  After this period anyone can claim the token name.  At Marky's request I'll be looking into elongating that timeline by a few weeks.

2.  The various stake holder groups: tribe owners, tribe token/miner owners, ENG/EM/EMFOUR owners have a few different discord groups they are joining to figure out what makes the most sense for them.  They'll put together proposals and I'll do my best to honor them or request reasonable changes. 3.  The next meeting is on Monday April 6th at 1pm Eastern in the Engine discord room.  Hopefully groups will have had enough time to meet with a weekend under their belt to figure out what makes sense and present it.

# Hive-Engine is working

The site is up and running.  I just tested putting steem for trade on hive-engine.  It's working on the back end.  Hopefully it'll be up soon on the front end and folks can start swapping coins.  We'll work on making it easier for people to get whichever tokens they want.

Get to the point? Are my steem engine tokens getting copied over or no, because form what I get, if they were getting copied over people's claim to their token name and everything else wouldn't and shouldn't have to be Claimed...

That depends on the individual tribe. Most tokens won't. Some tribes will become communities instead.

Engine needs a massive overhaul. It has seen very little development to support it and as a result it was easy to leave behind with the migration. I need to hear something positive to continue investing in tribes. Let us be civil about it as well.

No, hive-engine is a new thing. It's not going to be a copy of Steem-engine. You will only get tokens if a tribes decides to do an airdrop, which they will only do when they actually leave steem-engine. Lots of them will actually stay on Steem-engine or become a community instead.

Logged in to Hive Engine, it's empty as expected but next to my username it shows 17 notifications (same number as on Steem Engine) but there is actually only one notification. That number has always been dodgy anyway...
