Time to consider Tribes again

# What's Hive-Engine?

Hive-Engine is a decentralized smart contract platform built on top of Hive.

# What's a Hive-Engine Token?
The first smart contract we built was the ability to make your own token like an ERC20.  The token is fungible.

We then looked at the Smart Media Token white paper and redesigned it to work with Hive-Engine tokens.  We distribute them using a service called Scotbot and we're anticipating that sometime in March we'll be able to distribute them using Smart Contracts on Hive-Engine directly.

# What's a Tribe?

A Tribe is when you bundle a front end website like Hive.blog with your own custom Hive-Engine token and distribute it through proof of brain using Scotbot.

# Why should I make a Tribe?

It's like having the ability to start Steem/Hive again from scratch, but not being responsible for any of the infrastructre.  If you can ever get any kind of traction with your token you can make a token with a market cap in the millions by capturing just a few thousand people.

# What's it cost?

A tribe can cost as little as 3100 BEE.

100 BEE burned for the token creation
1000 BEE burned for staking

1000 BEE paid for Scotbot
1000 BEE paid for Nitrous (the website)

There's other options too, but that's the bare minimum.


That's around 600 bucks where you have the potential to make a token that could be worth millions.

# What else can help me make it worth money?

Right now we have NFTs.  With a little work you can start selling your own NFTs in your own new currency.

In the near future we're adding ethereum to the platform, ERC20s, the ability to wrap Hive Engine tokens onto Ethereum and interact with uniswap, and we're making our own version of Uniswap style liquidity pools called Diesel pools so you'll be able to incentive people to make liquidity pools and pay them with your token.

There's a lot of good stuff out there and the cost is pretty low and the potential benefit pretty high.

# You don't want to be the last one to the party!

Hive is going up, alts are going up, bitcoin is going up.  New sweet tech is coming soon.  This is the cheapest time to get in.  Grow a pair, start a tribe, and make a run for it.

1. Do it in a group
2. If $600 is a lot of money to you then you need a financial partner 
3. Get a niche
4. Be prepared to shill around the clock, attention is hard to gather
5. Leave room in your token distribution plan for multiple Diesel Pools

Thanks for the estimates on how much it costs to create a tribe and all that. I’ve been tossing around the idea for what to do long term and that’s been part of what I’ve been interested in. I don’t have the time or money to do it but could that change in a few months? Maybe. Won’t rule it out! 

With the added attention out of the bull market I’m sure a lot will go to Leo but what other tribes could get up there? Let’s see!

Are there going to be some updates on the existing version of tribes?
Just wondering if there are plans for,

- Lite accounts
- Proper ad revenue sharing
- Better user interface
- Liquidity pools on tribaldex

I'm very excited to see you taking an interest in the tribes side of things again as they have real potential to explode the eco-system. With the right set up they could bring in hundreds of thousands of users very fast if they are quick and easy to join. The leo team have built massively on the original concept and it would be great to see the base tribe moving in the same direction for those people that don't have the dev skills to do it themselves but would have the marketing skills to fill up a good tribe.

I think for most the financial part is the trickiest one. But if deployed correctly, that should be earned back in no time.

I'd like a list of top 25-50 contenders for top 20 with a brief summary of what they specialize in and what they envision for the short and long term for HIVE. That would go a long way, in making it easier for the community to get involved, but more than that. HIVE has the potential to subtly and incidentally teach us how we should demand to be governed until we can transition to leadership from governance.  I'd like to see occasional leanings in that direction.  For example, if you haven't cast or delegated all of your votes, you periodically get a pop up of the list I mentioned above. Once or twice a year we should create and send out simple yes/no vote tokens for propositions of magnitude so everyone knows they have a role to play and can watch it play out without tampering.  We (society) need to set our expectations higher and blockchain tech can play a role in that as well I think.
