Every day he woke up with the feeling that he wasn't in touch with reality. It was as if, day after day, he lived a dream that gradually intoxicated him with illusions. Sometimes, when he closed his eyes, he heard sounds in his mental screen that were not part of his routine. Laughter, breaths, music.

He struggled to see faces when he delved into himself, but with some effort, he could see a gaze. Brown eyes that seemed like his own when he stared at the reflection in the river. He felt that if he looked a little longer into his own eyes, he could transport himself to the true reality. It intrigued him to find this perfect combination while walking through the forest, as it was a rare occurrence, but when it happened, he felt like the universe was sending him a gift.

While howling with closed eyes, he also saw those brown eyes staring at him. In those moments, it was agonizing for him to be a wolf.

Not far away, inside a cabin, a man stared fixedly at the mirror, questioning whose gaze that was.

Tinha dificuldade de ver rostos quando mergulhava dentro de si mesmo, mas conseguia com algum esforço ver um olhar. Olhos castanhos que pareciam os seus quando  se encarava no reflexo do rio. Sentia que se olhasse mais um pouco para os seus próprios olhos, poderia se transportar para a verdadeira realidade. Mas, ele nunca conheceu o verdadeiro dono  daquele olhar, nem se transferiu para outro plano, nada aconteceu.

Se sentia sozinho, embora estivesse sempre em companhia. Seus amigos estavam sempre por perto o chamando para correr e caçar. Ele gostava de estar perto deles, gostava de fazer aqueles passeios, no entanto, mesmo quando era muito divertido, a melancolia o pescava de volta, como que para lembrar-lhe que ele não pertencia a aquela situação que se apresentava. 

Os melhores dias, eram os que encontrava fogueiras acesas a noite, perto de nogueiras. Pois o cheiro da noz moscada queimando ao fogo era o seu favorito. O deixava intrigado encontrar essa combinação perfeita enquanto caminhava pela floresta, pois era algo raro de acontecer, mas quando acontecia, sentia que o universo lhe mandava um presente. 

Ao uivar de olhos fechados ele também enxergava aqueles olhos castanhos o encarando. Nesses momentos, era angustiante para ele ser um lobo.

Não tão  longe dali, dentro de uma cabana, um homem olhava fixamente para o espelho se questionando de quem era aquele olhar.
