Buenas tardes a toda la comunidad de #HiveMotors. Es un placer para mí estar nuevamente con ustedes con más contenido original. En esta oportunidad, realicé un pequeño mantenimiento o "cariño" al sistema de freno delantero de mi motocicleta. La razón de este post comenzó debido a que el ruido de la mordaza de freno delantera era ya casi insoportable, el punto de que pensé que en algún momento iba a salir disparado de la moto. Comencemos.

Comenzamos, como de costumbre, con el segmento de la teoría. Los bujes de la mordaza de freno, o mejor conocidos en Venezuela como "quitaruidos", son una especies de gomillas que van introducidas entre la base de la mordaza y la mordaza, que  facilitan el desplace de la misma a la hora de frenar y soltar el disco de freno, actuando como especie de corredora  de goma, y además de ello, cumple con la función de eliminar el ruido de la vibración que podría haber motivado al espacio de separación que existe entre el eje de corredera y el orificio donde éste se desplaza.

Así que procedimos a reemplazarlos en mi moto y solucionar el problema de una vez por todas.

Lo primero que se realizó fue un análisis situacional para evaluar el estado de suciedad y qué se iba a hacer. A continuación, muestro en que estado estaba la mordaza:

Como observarán en la siguiente fotografía, el buje superior estaba en muy mal estado, deteriorado y roto, simplemente no cumplía ninguna función.

Y el buje inferior estaba un poco más completo, pero de igual manera había que reemplazarlo, pues se veía que no estaba del todo en buen estado, procediendo así con la limpieza de las piezas.

Primeramente intenté limpiar superficialmente la suciedad de aceite (de los bastones/cañas de la moto), pues el aceite que cayó sobre la mordaza era tanto que atrapó muchísima tierra y dificultaba el trabajo.

Se procedió con el desmontaje de la mordaza, utilizando un rachet con un dado 14mm para remover los tornillos que la sostenían.

Removemos la base trasera que sostiene la mordaza de los bastones:

Una vez más, terminamos de limpiar los bastones de la motocicleta para luego proceder directamente con la mordaza:

Casi todas las mordazas de motocicleta utilizan un tornillo ALLEN #5 para sujetas las pastillas de freno a la mordaza para que éstas no puedan salirse de su lugar:

Simplemente al removerlo, las pastillas salen sin ningún problema:

Para el primer paso de este segmento, comenzamos con lo más sencillo que es la colocación de los bujes ("quitaruidos") de la mordaza, que como les expliqué arriba, ayudan en el desplace y colocación de la mordaza en posición adecuada para el frenado, lo cual es un proceso automático al momento de pisar la leva de freno, y además de ello, eliminan el ruido que ésto podría ocasionar. Empezamos colocando el buje superior:

For the first step of this segment, we begin with the simplest thing, which is the placement of the caliper bushings ("remover"), which, as I explained above, help in moving and positioning the caliper in the proper position for braking. , which is an automatic process when you step on the brake lever, and in addition to that, they eliminate the noise that this could cause. We start by placing the upper bushing:

Y este sería el buje inferior, el que aún estaba entero pero como podrán notar en la siguiente fotografía, está ya gastado y ya se estaba agrietando, rompiendo, no le quedaba mucha vida.
