# <center> Romance en el Café Flore // Romance at the Flore Coffee Shop</center>

Distraerse en Paris en 1900 puede convertirse en una verdadera odisea, digna de Homero. Hay dos eventos de magnitud mundial: Los Juegos Olímpicos y La Exposición Universal. 

La alegría de la gente en la calle y un sinfín de turistas que no hablan francés, complica un poco la comunicación. Esto ocurre en todos los rincones parisinos, la capital deportiva y de las artes en los próximos meses. 

Amélie va en camino con la selección olímpica, los nervios a flor de piel, tiene mucha presión. Es la primera vez que las mujeres participan en un evento deportivo. 

>To be distracted in Paris in 1900 can become a real odyssey, worthy of Homero. There are two events of world magnitude: the Olympic Games and the Universal Exposition. 

>The joy of the people in the street and the countless tourists who do not speak French, complicates communication a little. All this is happening in every corner of Paris, the capital of sports and the arts in the coming months. 

>Amélie is on her way with the Olympic team, her nerves are on edge, she is under a lot of pressure. It is the first time that women have participated in a sporting event.

El ómnibus hizo una parada en Saint Germain, al conocerse el colapso de Paris. Decidieron aparcar en el café de Flore para comer y compartir un rato entre amigos. Amélie se separa del grupo para pensar y en medio de su estado de meditación al abrir los ojos, se encuentra con un hombre, *François*. 

Ella se asusta y él dice, *tranquila, solo contemplaba tu belleza y la paz que desbordas en este momento.* Y si lo permites, quisiera dibujarte para mi exposición en Paris. 

Amélie siempre quiso tener un retrato, por cosas de la vida y de dinero había sido imposible. Aprovechó esta oportunidad y aceptó, con la condición que al finalizar las actividades se encontrarían en el café Flore para la entrega de la pintura. 

>The bus made a stop in Saint Germain, after hearing about the collapse of Paris. They decided to park at the Café de Flore to have lunch and share some time with friends. Amélie breaks away from the group to think and in the middle of her meditative state when she opens her eyes, she meets a man, *François*. 

>She is startled and he says, "Relax, I was just contemplating your beauty and the peace that overflows from you at this moment..." And if you allow it, I would like to draw you for my exhibition in Paris. 

>Amélie had always wanted to have a portrait, but for reasons of life and money it had been impossible. She took advantage of this opportunity and accepted, with the condition that at the end of the activities they would meet at the Café Flore for the delivery of the painting. 

Aquel hombre estaba sumergido en un nirvana y no quería que el rostro de aquella mujer se le olvidara. Empezó a darle vida a sus trazos de acuarelas durante horas y después de unas cuantas tazas de café logró su objetivo.

Una semana más tarde, el pintor no sabía nada de aquella hermosa mujer, solo conoció en su breve platica que es tenista. Al comprar la prensa, vio la fotografía con el nombre de la chica misteriosa. Estará en la final de Los Juegos Olímpicos en su disciplina con una mujer inglesa. 
 
François ha llegado al complejo deportivo y coincide con Amélie antes de su juego final. Tiene intenciones de decirle su nombre, mientras ella responde - Yo sé quién eres - 

>That man was immersed in a nirvana and did not want to forget the face of that woman. He began to give life to his watercolor strokes for hours and after a few cups of coffee he achieved his goal. 

>A week later, the painter knew nothing about that beautiful woman, he only learned in their brief conversation that she is a tennis player. When he bought the press, he saw the photograph with the name of the mysterious girl. She will be in the final of the Olympic Games in her discipline with an English woman. 

>François has arrived at the sports complex and meets Amélie before her final game. He intends to tell her his name, while she replies - I know who you are - 

Él toma sus manos y  se deja llevar. El intercambio de miradas reflejaba ternura, deseo y paz. Estaban próximos a tocar sus labios y el megáfono los interrumpió. Ella salió corriendo y dijo: ¡Nos vemos en Flore! 

François había esperado por horas y el dueño del café le dice - toma las llaves y ten calma, ella llegará -  En las afueras del local, visualiza a alguien corriendo con unas raquetas de tenis y supo que era su amada.

La tenista se encuentra con su pintor, entre sollozos lo abraza y susurra... ¡Perdí ante Charlotte Cooper! François la calma y se besan con pasión. A los minutos entran a Flore, el dueño les dejó lista una bandeja para degustar y dos tazas de café caliente.

>He takes her hands and lets himself go. The exchange of glances reflected tenderness, desire and peace. They were about to touch their lips and the megaphone interrupted them. She ran out and said: See you in Flore! 

>François had been waiting for hours and the owner of the café said - take the keys and be calm, she will be there - Outside the café, he saw someone running with tennis racquets and knew it was his beloved. 

>The tennis player meets her painter, between sobs she hugs him and whispers.... I lost to Charlotte Cooper! François calms her down and they kiss passionately. A few minutes later they enter Flore, the owner has left a tray ready for them to taste and two cups of hot coffee.

La chica al tener calma se disculpa con su amado, tuvo que huir de la selección con mucha discreción. François le propuso quedarse en Saint Germain y hacer una vida juntos. 

Ella no tenía impedimento alguno. Su participación en los Juegos Olímpicos coincidió con su salida del orfanato, ya es mayor de edad y puede tomar las riendas de su vida. 

Amélie y François se casaron. El cuadro con trazos de acuarelas de su ahora esposa sigue de gira en varias exposiciones de arte a nivel mundial. La tenista continúo su carrera profesional, sumando premios internaciones. 

Viven felices en Saint Germain y cada semana tienen una cita fija en Flore, donde afianzan su amor entre risas y cafés.

>The girl, having calmed down and apologized to her beloved, had to flee from the selection with great discretion. François proposed her to stay in Saint Germain and make a life together. 

>She had no impediment. Her participation in the Olympic Games coincided with her departure from the orphanage, she is now of age and can take control of her life. 

>Amélie and François got married. His wife's watercolor painting is still touring several art exhibitions worldwide. The tennis player continued her professional career, winning international awards. 

>They live happily in Saint Germain and every week they have a fixed date in Flore, where they strengthen their love between laughter and coffees.
