My first IDO experience on CUBdefi.io

Hi,

as announced by @leofinance in this [post,](https://leofinance.io/@leofinance/the-first-ever-decentralized-ido-on-cubfinance-or-cakepop) a new service has been launched on the CUBdefi.io platform. It is called IDO, and it stands for *Initial DEX Offering*, a new way to acquire tokens on prelaunch.

As I like to try new things, especially the ones from the @leofinance team, I had to test the water with this one also.

It was a little hustle, as not everything was running smoothly. The CUB-BUSD liquidity, that acted as buying method, needed to be done on pancakeswap. Luckily a link was provided, and even if the token was not added, it could have been derived from the link address.

After the period was over, I've managed to claim my share of tokens. I was not fully aware, that the tokens added to the liquidity pool, would vanish. It is ok, as I've had to read better.

To be able to receive any dividends, a minimum sum of 200k CAKEpop needs to be held. Another thing that I was not aware. I've purchased some more and wait now in line. I think I was skipped twice till now, as I had a better position.

It was an interesting experience, where I need to study more, to fully comprehend the process of it.

I decided to pass on this one.  I think I still have a lot to learn about it.  I might just decide to stick with the pools and farms and wait to see what these IDOs do for the price of CUB.

$0.03

I took 2000 CUB out of the Kingdom, changed 50% to BUSD, and after the IDO I have now a tons of CakaPop worth app. 850 BUSD.
Not exactly what I would call a success story. Poor guy who invested 60K$.
