Digitally Creating A Dragonfly with PhotoPea Software

My Artwork today, I feel really pleased with as yesterday's Art was a bit disappointing to me. So this evening I wanted to do much better with something else completely new and original.

I started this Artwork from scratch with a very rough sketch outline of a Dragonfly, and gradually coloured it with embossed filtering. The result is really quite unique after using a very nice effect "Oil Paint" filter in PhotoPea software.

The complete process was really quite long and complex, so I will just show you a few "screen shots" below...

First, I drew a rough outline of a common Dragonfly digitally in PhotoPea, which I later flipped (horizontally).

Next, I began colouring the wings and body. Then used the "emboss filter", which gives the image a more realistic feel I think.

Finally I used the "oil paint" filter and inserted the Dragonfly into one of my old digital PSD backgrounds from a past Art project.
