In the days of Nowruz, I had a great trip. It was the first city of Tabas I posted in the previous posts, and in this post I have a trip to Yazd.   A city that was always appealing to me in photos and stories, but it's something else to see. Yazd had a special feeling with that old fabric and nesting alleys, as if it were time to stand up.

Long windshields, traditional houses, desert blue sky and that pleasant silence made everything away from the bustle and bustle of life. I was walking in the historical context at night, the most beautiful moments of my trip were at the time.

From Amirchakhmaq and Zoroastrian fireplace to the Garden of Dowlatabad and the old houses, it attracted me anywhere. Their local cuisine is not to say - Ash Sholi, Yazdi Ghemia, Qarbab and Delicious Baklava!

Yazd is one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Iran in the heart of the central desert. The city is known for its adobe architecture, long winds, tight and twisted alleys, and its rich culture. Yazd is the world's first adobe city and the second large historical city of the world to be listed in the UNESCO World Heritage List.  Yazd has a hospitable and bloodthirsty people, and traditional customs are still bold in their daily lives.
In today's post I want to introduce some of the sights of this traditional and lovely city. A city full of pure sense.

Yazd Clock Tower is one of the city's famous monuments and symbols located in the Square Square. The tower was built during the Qajar era and was designed as Iran's first urban clock about 5 years ago. According to the locals, the tower's height is about 2 meters and four large hours are installed on four sides, which is clearly visible from the field and its surroundings.

The architecture of the Yazd Clock Tower in the Qajar style and includes beautiful decorations with brickwork and tiles imprinted into the verses of the Qur'an. Not only is the tower known as a historical structure, it is also one of the most important places to visit Yazd and many tourists visit it every year.

The Time Square in which the tower is located is also one of Yazd's historical and historical sites and is part of Iran's national heritage.

One of the places that really looked at me was Markar Square. At first glance it may only look like an ordinary field, but when I got closer and started reading what was written about, I realized how much the story was behind it.

In the middle of the square, there is an old, very special clock tower called the "Markar Clock Tower". The one who made this tower was a Zoroastrian good man named Markar's Dukhari, who was from Indian but his heart for Iran and Zoroastrian culture. Not only this watch tower, but also a school and an orphanage.

The tower itself, a square building of about 2 meters high, which is engraved by a local poet named "Nasser". These poems give information about the time of construction and sponsors of the tower. Most interesting is that this field is exactly the geographical center of Iran! You feel like you stood in the middle of Iran's heart.

Around the square is full of green space and traditional architecture. It has a very special feeling, especially if you go to the sunset, the sun's light on the clock tower ... a combination of silence, history, and beauty.

Seeing this square was beyond a simple turn. It was as if I saw a piece of Iranian identity and the peaceful coexistence of religions.

One of my most beautiful experience was to travel to Yazd, the Garden of Dolatabad. From the moment I entered the garden, that lush and orderly atmosphere with tall trees and the sound of water in the atmosphere gave me a special sense of peace.

The middle of the garden was a large pond that had a picture of trees and sky in its water, but what really surprised me was the famous garden windshield; The tallest brick windshield! When I stood up, his greatness was really stunning. Interestingly, the windmill is still working and directs the cool wind into the mansion.

The interior of the mansions was also very artistic with colored glass, delicate plaster and traditional Iranian architecture. Walking into that environment is to the heart of history. In short, the Dolatabad Garden is not just a garden, a piece of Iranian culture and art that is really worth seeing. See the rest of the photos below.

This garden is a great example of the Iranian garden recorded in UNESCO. It has a quiet, lush and very pleasant environment.

One of the best examples of traditional ventilation can be introduced.

Iranian history and culture can be touched closely.

During the days I was in Yazd, I had the opportunity to visit the Jame Mosque. When I reached the mosque, I was really influenced by the greatness and beauty of its architecture. I asked locals about the mosque and found out that it was very old and historic. It was said that the construction of the mosque started from a long time and was built on a Sassanid fire.

The tall minarets of the mosque were very eye. They said that these minarets are known as the tallest minarets of Iran's mosques. They were very spectacular for me when I saw closely. Inside the mosque there were large nightclubs with long columns and beautiful tiles that really exhibited its art.

I also asked the people what the mosque was to the people of Yazd, and everyone was saying that the mosque had a special place not only historically, but also religiously. When I was inside the mosque, I really felt that I became part of the history and culture of this area. Every corner of the mosque was full of artworks that were left out of different times.

When I entered the interior of the mosque, it had a very special atmosphere. The light was shining through the narrow, narrow windows, and it was full of peace everywhere. The stone columns and colored tiles along the long ceilings gave the space a special glory. It was interesting that in the yard of the mosque, a large number of pigeons were flying and sitting on the ceilings. These pigeons had given the mosque a traditional and relaxing atmosphere that really felt good.

When I arrived at the hotel, the interiors really caught my attention. While it had traditional and historical architecture, it was well combined with modern possibilities. In the lobby, there was a long ceiling with delicate plaster and large windows with Iranian architectural colored glass that made it very beautiful. In addition, the walls were decorated with geometric motifs and colorful tiles, reminiscent of the original art of Yazd.

The rooms were also very special. The brick walls and handmade tiles, which had been added to the hotel's historical space, were combined with comfortable beds and modern furniture.

The hallway of the hotel, with gentle lighting and painted walls, had a relaxing space. In some parts, the interior, using older elements such as wooden shelves and traditional accessories, made one feel that he lived in a historic home.

Also, on the upper floors of the hotel, behind the windows, you could see the beautiful view of the city of Yazd and the winds. This landscape, especially at sunset, was great and conveyed a different feeling to Adam.

Overall, the Yazd Hotel was a great combination of history, culture and modernity that you entered with every step, experienced a different feeling.

When I was there, I also encountered the darkness of the night. The entire courtyard was illuminated with precise and delicate lighting that gave the wall tiles and decorations a magnificent look. The quiet sound of the fountains and the sound of Yazd's nights along with the yellow and orange lights had created an atmosphere as if I was far from today's world and returned to the past.

Here is a place for a fireplace in Yazd, where I was the most special place I went to.  I really had a special feeling. When I entered the courtyard, it was a quiet and spiritual atmosphere around me. I asked one of the guides what the history of this fire has and said that it is one of the oldest fireplaces in Iran and is thousands of years. Here is the place of Zoroastrian worship and still sacred fire inside the bright fireplace. Saying that this fire has always been bright for a long time and is very important as a symbol of purity and light for the Zoroastrians.

The interior of the fire was very simple and at the same time sacred. In the middle, a fire that is always bright, inside a glass compartment, and many pilgrims come here for worship and prayer. Around the fireplace is decorated with stone columns and white walls, making the space very beautiful and sacred.

Outside, there were small gardens and colorful flowers that gave the space more comfortable. I also asked locals why this place was so important to the Zoroastrians, and everyone was saying that the fireplace was a symbol of human relationship with God and nature and is still very important to new generations.

And because we were in ancient Eid and Nowruz, the symbol of the Seven Sin was arranged on a table in the interior.

If you are careful about the photos, you will see the Forouhar or Zoroastrian symbol. The famous symbol of the Zoroastrians. Exactly in the middle of the inlet arch, the top at the main was installed. A winged man standing forward and a ring in his hand. Was very delicate and made in detail.

I asked the guide, saying that that ring in his hand, a symbol of covenant, honesty and loyalty. His wings had three parts, each of which was one of the Zoroastrian principles: good thought, good speech, good deeds. Even below the symbol, there were three other parts that symbolize the evil. Everything was thinking and it was meaningful.

That symbol above the door is not just a decoration, as if a spiritual guard who welcomes you and reminds you where you are. A sacred place, a clear path. I really felt like I was entering a different world, where everything is meaningful.

According to the people there, the fire of this 1,500 -year -old place is clear. You might be surprised, but it was not the moment when the fire was extinguished.

Traveling to Yazd was a completely different and special experience for me. The city whose old texture is still alive, wherever I went, it was full of history and an ancient life.

Let me tell people, all kind and intimate. Wherever I was asking, they would answer and say about the history of their city. Yazd was not just a tourist destination for me, it was a cultural and emotional experience. The city I still returned, Bush, its colors, and the mood of its alley in my mind.

If you travel to Iran, visit this ancient city to feel the true meaning of a different journey to history.
