Recientemente hemos estado teniendo problemas con la conducta de mi nieto. Como educadora y muchos años de experiencia puedo afirmar que hay factores externos que inciden en esta situación.

Por lo general tendemos a creer que un problema de conducta se asocia a algún síndrome, pero no necesariamente tiene que se así.

La conducta agresiva del niño se manifiesta tanto en la escuela como en el hogar y específicamente cuando se le colocan actividades donde deba utilizar el lápiz. Es decir, actividades para desarrollar motricidad fina son estresantes para él.

A mi juicio,una de las causas que le provoca esta reacción donde se resiste a realizar actividades tiene que ver con haberlo forzado desde muy temprana a edad a escribir. 

El niño apenas tiene cuatro años, ponerlos a escribir desde los dos años es una locura, así de simple. Bien, ahora estamos lidiando con este problema.¿Qué hacer?

Ni con la madre en casa, ni con la maestra en la escuela se logra el objetivo de motivar al niño ni ayudarlo en sus procesos. Una opción brusca y para mí desacertada ha sido retirarlo del colegio. 

Ahora bien, me hice cargo del niño por unos días de trabajar con él y ver cómo evoluciona. 

Para el primer trabajo llevé a cabo un proceso diagnóstico. La evaluación diagnóstica siempre arroja información valiosa sobre las necesidades reales del niño. A partir de allí, se crean las estrategias didácticas que le ayuden a fortalecer un área, una habilidad, o una destreza específica.

Noté que a  Zaid le cuesta mantenerse sentado y tranquilo por largo rato, mucho más cuando se trata de escribir. Cualquier cosa lo distrae con facilidad y al poco tiempo termina irritado y molesto.

En una semana de evaluación pude valorar que esta conducta no es más que una respuesta a una emoción. El niño se muestra frustrado y por ende, enojado cuando no logra hacer algo, una figura geométrica, una letra o simplemente unir puntos.

Es inseguro al momento de hacer trazos y a le cuesta pedir ayuda. Cuando siente que no puede hacerlo estalla, se altera y se vuelve violento y poco comunicativo. 

Mi primera estrategia con el niño será brindarle confianza y seguridad. Es importante que sepa que puede hacer las cosas sin que esto le genere estrés o alguna molestia. Trabajar con él la paciencia es fundamental. Lo puse armar rompecabezas y bloques de legos.

>My first strategy with the child will be to give him confidence and security. It is important for him to know that he can do things without stress or discomfort. Working with him on patience is fundamental. I have him put puzzles and Lego blocks together.

Lo otro fue sugerirle que pida ayuda cuando sea necesario. Obviamente, será un proceso guiado a través de la negociación. En los primeros momentos le brindaré apoyo estratégico para más adelante valorar su proceso.

Es importante dejar claro que sólo haré intervención como docente más no como psicólogo ni psicopedagoda. Debemos ser conscientes de cada quien tiene función, el míos guiarlo en su proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje.

Por otro lado, dejaré herramientas en casa para guiar el proceso del niño. Desde el hogar se pueden manejar estas situaciones. Pueden existir conflictos emocionales y ser ellos los causantes de los problemas. 

Cada familia debería estar preparada para reconocer a tiempo cuál o cuáles son las raíces que detonan incomodidades. El rol de los padres son importantes en estos casos y por eso desde el hogar se colabora con la escuela.

Hola amiga, es un excelente trabajo el que está realizando con este niño. La ansiedad realmente los afecta muchísimo, bueno en el caso de mi hijo porque tiene autismo y quiere hacer todo rápido y se frustra cuando las cosas no salen como él espera. Estoy trabajando con él en casa pero la paciencia no está entre sus cualidades.

Me gustó leerla y tomaré algunas de sus recomendaciones para aplicarlas con mi hijo. Saludos

No, actually at that age many parents take them to maternity or day care while they work. But, there they made the grave mistake of forcing him to work on fine motor skills to an extreme level. Thanks for reading and commenting. Regards.
