This our grandma can be so funny, she always love to see children around her and when there is no one beside her, she keeps complaining that she was left all alone by her self.

Iya agba (old woman) that's how we call our grandma here in Yoruba land, is my client's grandma and she love to see me around, I love to be with grandma as she tell stories of the olden days and words of wisdom. 

Recently, I was with grandma and she was complaining of all are wrapper she has in her bag that she can no longer wear them because she can't walk on her own and it will be difficult to wear the iro and buba made for her those days as she will not be able to tie the wrapper on her own, I thought of it and I told her anytime I'm free, I will help her to convert the wrappers into a simple gown she can wear easily and this is one of the girl made for her. 

From the three sets comprising the head tie, buba and iro that I was given, I only took the iro which is the wrapper to make this simple gown. 

All I did was to fold the wrapper in two, cut out the front part of an A-line shape gown, after which the front was placed on the other folded fabric to cut out the back part. The buba sleeve was transferred to the new gown and finally, I cut out the hem of the lace to make a pleat at the front of the gown and this is how beautiful it looks.
