Strep throat is an infection in which the the Group A Streptococcus causes inflammation and pain by affecting the throat and tonsils. Even though it is quite common that kids between age five and fifteen often suffer from this bacteria disease, it can still happen to anyone. 
Knowing that you are having a strep throat isn’t difficult as it comes with different symptoms. For a person having a strep throat, the lymph nodes of such person will be swollen which will cause a form of discomfort in his or her mouth. Also, there will be sore throat and swollen tonsils which is more likely to come with fever, headache and even rash depending on your body type and how your body reacts to strep throat. 

There are two major ways in which a human can develop strep throat. It can either be spread through respiratory droplets or or direct contact with someone who’s having the Group A Streptococcus bacteria. This is why it is important for someone who is sneezing to always cover mouth and nose so the droplets doesn’t spread all through the whole place. 
When you sneeze, a lot of people are likely to breathe in some of your droplets and that’s how you come in contact with the bacteria.

Kissing is also a way to spread strep throat. Having a deep kiss with someone who’s having a strep throat may lead you to having strep throat as well. It may not be kissing alone but sharing utensils and having close contact with anyone who is infected is very much likely to get you infected as well. 

I feel someone can try the home remedy of treating strep throat even before visiting the doctor. Note that this has to be in the very early stage of the infection. For the home remedy, it is usually advised to mouth gargle a warm water and salt believing that the two combination will help to kill the infection slowly. 
Secondly, drinking or taking any warm meal or liquid is advisable. That will at least reduce the inflammation and ease swallowing because anyone who is suffering from strep throat is very much likely to have issue with swallowing. 

Nevertheless, going to the doctor for a proper treatment to get rid of this contagious infection is very important. The person is very likely to be given some amoxicillin capsule or other cephalexin capsules. If someone refuses to take care of the strep throat, the Group A Streptococcus bacteria will affect other parts of the body which are closer to the tonsils and that may lead to tinnitus or other problems related to the ear or any other part of the body which is close to the throat. Eventually, that may lead to visiting an ENT doctor who focuses on the neck, throat and ear. 

As little as Strep Throat infection may seem, it can be very contagious and deadly especially when it has spread through other parts of your body. This is why it is needed to prevent ourselves from developing Strep Throat.

Here are few ways in which one can prevent having strep throats; avoid staying in overcrowded places. Anyone can be infected and for the sake of our health, we have to be careful. Also, we should avoid sharing cutlery with anyone. In the first few days of strep throat, someone is likely to have little or no symptom and such person won’t know about it. This is one of the innocent ways in which people unknowingly spread strep throat infection to other people. 

And for anyone who has just treated strep throat, it is advisable to change your toothbrush because it is very likely for the bacteria to still be on your toothbrush. These are the major things to know about strep throat and doing this will either prevent or save you from a strep throat.
