It was an ordinary day in one of those suburban neighborhoods, where very few cars pass by, where all the time the duties took care of the people, and not the people of them, there lived a young girl named Charlotte.


 Charlotte was known to be a quiet and reserved girl, who preferred to spend her days reading in her sober, quiet house. However, her routine was interrupted when she received a very special invitation: the birthday of her sister, Diana.

Diana was one of those girls that do not go unnoticed, she had that magic that stole the looks of everyone who is around her or anyone who saw her passing by, she had an intense look, a honey color and fire, hazelnut-shaped and abundant eyelashes, her lips were fleshy and pronounced, her skin was smooth and shone more than usual in the sun, her hair was untamable when the wind touched it, giving it that touch of rebelliousness, she was of average height and a standard silhouette, she was always surrounded by friends. Her party promised to be a gathering where drinks, dancing, food, fun and laughter were not to be expected, and Charlotte knew she couldn't miss this event if she didn't want her sister to banish her completely. However, there was one small problem in her household: her mischievous cat, Luna.

Luna was a very peculiar cat. He thought he was the lord and master of the house and of Charlotte's life, the worst thing was that he behaved as such. There was no corner of that house that he believed and made his own and did not hesitate to show his disapproval when something did not please him, he was a little lazy, gray with white tabby but in shades of gray, moody, eater, with the need to chase me to every corner of the house that I moved, if it is a cat, something rare in them for those who do not know them, and always lived with the need for caresses as if one had nothing else to do.  When Charlotte announced that she was going to Diana's party, Luna's emerald eyes narrowed, her ears stood up like an arrow pointing back, she made a few meows of complaint and reacted by jumping off Charlotte's lap onto the floor, turned to look at her sideways, turned around and continued to her favorite corner.

From the moment Charlotte mentioned the party, Luna spent her time lying in her favorite corner watching her walk by, waiting to deploy all her feline cunning to keep her from going. He jumped on Charlotte's purse, ripped her shoes, hid her car keys, as nothing worked, he changed his strategy, he believed that if he curled up in her lap and purred sweetly, he would succeed in seducing her to stay home with him.

As the time for the party approached, Luna was inventing new and intense pranks. She would run around the house, making loud noises to distract Charlotte. She would knock over everything in front of her, making a mess of everything in her path. He would even climb on the kitchen table, pushing a plant he had in the middle of the table with his long claws to get Charlotte's attention.

Charlotte, aware of Luna's wiles, was not easily swayed. Although the cat tried desperately to hold her back, she was adamant about attending Diana's party. Despite Luna's resistance, Charlotte managed to get out of the house and made her way to the venue.

While Charlotte did her best to relax and be part of her sister's majestic and joyful hustle and bustle, she shared the whole night with her friends, her sister's face was a feast of emotions at being able to share such a special date with her since they rarely saw each other.


Luna was at home, upside down, rolling on the floor back and forth, letting out yawn after yawn with absolutely no company. Her feline throne was meaningless. His eyes began to fill with water gushing from the inside out. She began to feel Charlotte's total absence, and realized how selfish she had been in trying to hold her back at every moment and opportunity that had come Charlotte's way before.

When he finally returned home, he found Luna standing by the door waiting. The meowing cat, who had previously behaved haughtily, now seemed small and submissive, completely remorseful. He approached Charlotte very calmly and rubbed his head against her legs, making slight purrs begging for forgiveness in a feline manner.

Charlotte with an astonished face let out a mischievous smile, lowered herself to his level, then ran her hand all over Luna's lap in a very subtle way. She understood that her cat was just trying to show her how much he loved her and how much he cared about her safety. From that day on, Charlotte and luna developed an even closer relationship. Luna learned to respect Charlotte's needs and to understand that her love was not exclusive to the house, but could also extend to her family and loved ones, and that she could also have fun times without him.


From that day on, Charlotte and luna shared many more adventures together. Charlotte found a way to balance her quiet life at home with exciting outings and social events. Luna, meanwhile, learned to enjoy walks outdoors and the company of other people and animals.

Charlotte and luna's story became an inspiration to others in the neighborhood. They demonstrated that even the most opposite personalities can find a balance and learn to respect and support each other's dreams and decisions.

Over time, Charlotte and Luna became an inseparable couple. Together, they explored new places, met interesting people and lived unforgettable moments. Luna tried to stop thinking he was the absolute master of the house, an attitude that cost him a lot, and he was not able to become the loyal and playful companion that Charlotte had always wished for.

And so, in the midst of mischief and mutual affection, Charlotte and Luna demonstrated that love can break barriers, that we must accept and understand each other's differences, that even if we don't have the same tastes, each one is free in their own species.

Needless to say, day after day they always remembered the challenge of the meowing cat and Charlotte's courage to let such a wonderful feline companion into her life.
