# Ingredientes:
1 Níspero.
3 cucharaditas de azúcar blanca.
1/2 cucharadita de jugo de limón.

El níspero es una de las frutas exóticas que los venezolanos tenemos el gran placer de cosechar en temporada. Es una fruta muy dulce, de pulpa suave y lisa. En su interior contiene grandes semillas ovaladas. El níspero es un árbol muy grande. Para mi suerte en el Estado donde vivo se cultivan y se cosechan estos frutos. 
Para realizar la mermelada (receta de prueba) utilicé un níspero de 220 gramos de peso. Como aún estaba verde, lo lavé muy bien y lo envolví en periódico. Al cabo de dos días ya estaba maduro y listo para comer.

 The medlar is one of the exotic fruits that Venezuelans have the great pleasure of harvesting in season. It is a very sweet fruit, with a soft and smooth pulp. Inside it contains large oval seeds. The medlar is a very large tree. Luckily for me, in the state where I live, these fruits are grown and harvested.
To make the jam (test recipe) I used a loquat weighing 220 grams. Since it was still green, I washed it really well and wrapped it in newspaper. After two days it was ripe and ready to eat.

Lavamos y pelamos el níspero. Cortamos a la mitad y extraemos la semilla. Cortamos en cuadritos y colocamos en la olla que luego usaremos para montar en la estufa.

Colocamos en la olla el níspero cortado, tres cucharaditas de azúcar, media cucharadita de jugo de limón y tres cucharadas de agua.
Dejamos amaserando por unos 45 minutos o una hora aproximadamente, hasta que el níspero suelte la mayor cantidad de jugo.

Coloca en la estufa a temperatura media. Remueve de vez en cuando para que no se pegue en la olla ni se queme.
Durante unos 10 o 15 minutos estaría listo el almíbar y cocido el níspero. Baja de la candela y tritura.

Los aromas que desprenden esta exótica fruta cuando se está cocinando son deliciosos. El sabor de la mermelada de níspero es inconfundible, de todos modos le coloqué como guinda la única semilla que vino en su interior. 
Con un níspero de 220 gramos realicé 80 gramos de una rica mermelada. Rindió para preparar 23 rebanadas de pan tostado. A mi me encantó!

Hola. Si, están bastante grandes, tres pesaron un kg. Me encantó la receta. Me encanta el níspero natural, es la primera vez que hago la mermelada y nos ha encantado! Ya estoy lista para preparar en mayor cantidad.
