## **Bitconnect: cryptocurrency behind a scam**

I've been following Bitconnect quite a while. It's fun to watch Bitconnect supporters, which they seem to be professional trolls to. One of their arguments is that *bitconnect is an open source* platform. Besides that it sound smart to people that say it, has no other real importance. 

Bitconnect is a useless cryptocurrency with almost no development at all. Let's see github source data.

According to github data, 2016 there were only two days with 9 total contribution to its source. Since bitconnect came around the end of last year, the rest of the months will be discarded. Last year and 2017 will make a full year.

2017 had no difference. There were only 9 days with contributions, with a total of 32 contributions. It's amazing, from February to August there were no developement at all. Literally nothing.

## **What does this all mean**
Bitconnect is a cryptocurrency with no development. It mostly get exchanged on a single exchange owned by the same owner. It only serves one purpose, to keep the scam going. A technology that has no development, will have no future. Bitconnect has no difference.

## **But, bitconnect was the best performing asset on crypto-space**

Most Bitconnect supporters I know say, yes but I made a lot of money. Just because price went up in the past does not mean it will keep going up forever.  Past performance is not indicative of future results. It's like driving a can in the highway and looking on rear-view mirror.

In my opinion bitconnect is not a good investment, never was and never will. Not a good idea to invest into the coin, or the platform. It's impossible to predict when the scam will exit, so it's not a wise idea to invest money. I'd rather invest in real projects, that work to make the world a better place, than gamble in a scam.

Its sad. A lot of people know its a scam, but still invest just to make a quick buck.
