I Figure Fewer DTube Votes My Way Is Potentially A Good Thing / Supporting New Users - D00k13 Digest #163

What up my Steemians, welcome to the @D00k13 Digest, have you noticed fewer @DTube votes coming your way as a long standing creator? I have but I am not about to start complaining, if they are not coming to me they must be going elsewhere and I see this as a positive. When looking into it you will find there is a initiative happening with onboarding new users through things like the #DTubeSnap by @NathanMars making a simple way for mobile only users start their own DTube journey. Along with this initiative, #DTubeRevolution, I have seen many of the new users receiving much support from those of us wishing to help onboard and by the DTube curation team on their very first posts. I noticed that @WonderWop received a vote on his #DTubeSnap, his first DTube post in about a year which really made my day as I had encouraged him with some guidance to try again. I really do think that this is a good thing for the entire platform and I appreciate the curators putting this forward, if we wish to go mainstream we must support the new users. I have come a long way since my humble beginnings and even if I never received another vote from DTube on my works I will continue forward with my creations. Why? I am a living legacy, if I can do it so can you!

Right on buddy, I noticed you using a voice application on one of your last videos about the subway... sorry I was distracted but I meant to reply but it slipped my mind... anyways I thought that was a genius way for you to get your message across in video form and shows how much your willing to take on just for the video alone! Yes, a voice app is well suited for me because of my mouth condition because I tried to speak before and it really wasn't good as I was like having a boxer's mouthpiece in my mouth and being breathless at the same time so I thought I just have to use something to help me so I came up with a text to speech app for my dtubing @d00k13 and it turned out better :D

I like these thoughts.  I kind of see the whole upvote thing like a wave, where the more people there are the less of a wave you catch.  It's important for everyone that they are supported by more than just the platform's account, as then it's not sustainable or stable.  I think if DTube supports the right people, eventually the sustainability of being a creator will go up because there will be more heavy hitting curators and upvoters other than DTube themselves.

It will take the people who are willing to jump in and stay no matter what, but that's the same with any platform.  I think it's hard for some to think about DTube like a small platform because the other social media ones are so massive.

Exactly what I was trying to get at if more of us work on doing our own curation it will benefit the entire platform for the long run, just what NathanMars is doing alone has made the entire onboarding of new users grow drastically.

I am most definitely here for the long haul, DTube has already earned my loyalty!
