Posting from the phone isn't easy when you are used to use text, photo or video editors from the PC, but today I had to do it again after a long time, since my computer is in intensive care.

Yesterday after three voltage spikes, the protector that has the PC failed and unfortunately couldn't protect it, I took the matter calmly and decided to check it calmly today. The first thing is to check the source, logic told me that, the source was burned, so I disassembled it to check it.

Surely some of the technicians who are in the community already know this, but by placing a small jumper on the 24-pin connector of the power supply, specifically in the green wire joining it with a black wire, the power supply detects it as the load or that has been connected to the motherboard and so it turns on.
>Seguro alguno de los técnicos que están en la comunidad ya se saben esto, pero al colocar un pequeño jumper en el conector de 24 contactos de la fuente, específicamente en el del cable verde uniéndolo con uno de cable negro, la fuente lo detecta como la carga o que ha sido conectado e la tarjeta madre y así enciende.

I was very surprised when it turned on, I thought at first that the power supply had burned, but with this the thing changes, now I had to check all the voltages delivered by the source 12, -12, 5, 3.3, etc.. Each of the connections delivered the correct voltage, the only thing that came to my mind was that it didn't support the load and that's why it didn't turn on.

I decided to try with another source, discarding the fact that the original one doesn't sustain the voltage to turn on, to my surprise the PC doesn't turn on either. This indicates that there is a short in the motherboard, to the naked eye I can't see anything, so I have to disassemble everything and check calmly.

The only good thing is that the PC was damaged after finishing my design course, just on Monday I presented my last work, although I couldn't send it to the teacher's Google Drive, he could evaluate it in the presentation and he has proof that I made it.

At the moment I'm looking for a way to connect my backup disks to some other machine or maybe get an external case to connect disks to USB ports, my backup disks are small 2.5" or also known for laptop, that makes it easier for me to move them.
>Por el momento estoy buscando la manera de conectar mis discos de respaldo en alguna otra maquina o conseguir quizás un case externo para conectar discos a puertos USB, mis discos de respaldo son pequeños de 2,5" o también conocidos para laptop, eso me facilita su traslado.

Hola hermano lamento que tú placa se haya dañado, esas variaciones de voltaje son fatales mas aun en este tipo de equipos. Veo que has ido poco a poco analizando el problema y como era lógico has empezado por la fuente,la cuál has podido descartar al usar una que se encontraba en buen estado, Medir la fuente en vacío no es una prueba concluyente pues como bien dices cuando hay carga la fuente debe soportar las exigencias energéticas de la placa, me ha sucedido que la fuente proporciona bien los voltajes en vacío pero al conectarla a la placa caen los voltajes y se van del rango permisible, esto debido a problemas  de la propia fuente, lamentablemente no es tu caso, pues el problema es en la placa, y se complejiza mas aun la reparación, Sin embargo si al conectar la ficha de 24 pines y presionar el botón de encendido el fan del microprocesador no hace nada, puedes hacer una medición en la ficha del standby que es el cable púrpura y chequear si tienes los 5 volt( todo esto con la ficha de 24 pines conectada) si no están los 5 volt puedes tener esa línea en corto, si están presente pero aun así no funciona, seguidamente mides el pin del encendido que es el que va conectado al botón de encendido, en ese pin deben de haber 3.3 o 5 volt , no se en esa placa MSI cuál es el valor pero debe de estar en ese orden , si no está presente ese voltaje, entonces, lo más probable es que exista algún problema con el Súper I/O que es un integrado grande de muchos pines que se encarga de proporcionar una serie de señales para el encendido de la placa, esto no es absoluto ya que existen muchas otras más causas que pudieran provocar que la placa no encienda, sin embargo esas dos mediciones se aplican a cualquier placa que no encienda al presionar el botón de encendido. Espero que por lo menos puedas recuperar la información de tus discos de respaldo y usarlo en otra placa hasta que resuelvas el problema. Saludos hermano.

Amigo @darknapol como siempre muy acertado en tus comentarios, definitivamente eres buen técnico y sabes lo que hablas. Te cuento que te go muchos años que no trabajo la electrónica a este nivel, la verdad siempre trabajé en automatización de procesos industriales, así que me ha tocado repasar y leer mucho, buscar datasheet y bueno intentar dar con el problema. 

Te cuento que he probado con 3 fuentes, todas en vacío dan los voltajes, pero con la tercera que probé el fancooler del procesador intento arrancar pero luego no lo hizo más, en ese momento supe que tengo que retirar la placa del case y revisar más a fondo, de momento si pude constatar que tengo 3.3 y 5 voltios en varios puntos de la placa, voy a revisar lo del encendido, gracias por la sugerencia.

Que broma hermano, de verdad que con estas fluctuaciones de energía muchas veces no los protectores funcionan. Lo del puente para probar la fuente es muy conocido, lo que pasa es que a veces así enciende, pero no soporta la conexión de todos los equipos. Ahora, como dices debes revisar más a fondo porque que has probado con otra y nada que enciende. Ya lo más probable es que sea la tarjeta madre, pero bueno a tomarlo con calma y no hay de otra, a usar el teléfono hasta solucionar. Espero encuentre la falla hermano
