No doubt it's going to be rough to begin with, how long for depends on the community, and in particular those with enough stake to impact ridiculous selfvoting/shitposting/bot stacking on turd content.

You have to admit though that the current path isn't a good one - time will tell whether this new direction is any better.

Wait. I thought this hard fork is supposed to kill spam. And incentivize people who aren't doing the right thing to do the right thing because apparently they're unable to do the right thing without incentives. The other hard fork was supposed to open the floodgates and shift the expenses of running a blockchain from Steemit to the users.

I think the expenses got shifted (RCs—lower SP can't do anything), but Velocity seems to have been stuck in first gear.

I guess the point we're both making is, whatever they told you the hard fork is for, it's probably not going to accomplish that, but have some other effect, ill-intended or ill-advised. And then we'll have the same folks saying we need to try something else, if there's anyone else around to even care at that point.

Only the strong new commers will survive.
I rest my case.

I think they have made bad decisions, although it is true that the great whales are the ones that do most of the work in steemit, but we small creators of content must also be insensitive

yeah you are very true, sir. Thanks in steem-engine there are many ways we can still survive amd enjoy in staying steem.

Hi there @davemccoy.  I don't understand why they keep wanting to cutting off their noses.  I thought we want Steemit to grow? I guess we have lofty thoughts.
