What do you think about the simulation theory?

If you don't know what is the simulation theory, it is defined by Wikipedia as:

I most def say its possible BUT, Jesus is real and if he's real then there is a God. if there is a God then he must be in control. So in short i have have a hard time believing in Simulation because I believe in God. This is not a religious post, as a matter of fact I don't think i have ever made a comment or post like this....ever. It's just the only way I can explain why I can't fully buy sim theory. :)

It is a fascinating topic, thanks for bringing it up.
Yes, I think it is possible indeed.
There are many implications. E.g. if our consciousness is simulated, what impact does it have on our socalled free will? This would add arguments to the recent scientific findings that we indeed have no free will, and that it is rather a social construct like religion to keep communities better functioning.
It could also explain the Fermi paradox. In the simulation any extraterrestrians are simply turned off.

Well, they could also be out there but we still haven't establish contact. 

I wonder if this could be related to the existence of premonitions/seeing the future in dreams which I know is something real.

Yes, they could be there but that´s the paradox, why there was no single contact, if the universe is full of life. The simulation is a simple explanation for it - if it is true of course.

Have you some evidence for "seeing the future in dreams"?
