Wie geht's eigentlich dem ersten Bitcoin Staat?/How is the first Bitcoin state doing?

Generell stufen Ratingagenturen die Kreditwürdigkeit als eher gering ein, auch wenn beispielsweise S&P Global Ratings El Salvador Ende vergangenen Jahres von CCC+ auf B- aufgestuft hat.

Bereits im Jahr 2023 verzeichneten die festverzinslichen Wertpapiere des Bitcoin-Landes überdurchschnittlich hohe Kursgewinne. Mit einer Performance von +70 Prozent waren El Salvadors Anleihen im Jahr 2023 die am besten rentierenden Staatsanleihen eines Schwellenlands.

**Wirtschaftlich positive Aussichten für das Bitcoin-Land**

Nachdem Präsident Bukele erfolgreich die Gangkriminalität eingedämmt hat, wünschen sich viele, dass er nun die Wirtschaft auf Vordermann bringen wird.

Wirtschaftlich ist El Salvador bereits auf dem Vormarsch. Mit 4,5 Prozent wächst die Wirtschaft deutlich stärker als die der USA und insbesondere die von Deutschland!

Gleichzeitig liegt die Inflation des Bitcoin-Landes mit rund 0,8 Prozent erheblich unter der Inflation in Deutschland von 2,9%.

**El Salvador ist auf einem guten Weg, ein Exempel zu statuieren,** wie ein vorher angeschlagenes Land gesunden kann, ohne dabei in Abhängigkeiten zu geraten. Bei dem Aufschwung spielt die Zunahme an Tourismus – angefacht durch die Adoption von Bitcoin und die geringeren Kriminalitätsraten – und der marktwirtschaftlich freie Ansatz die wohl entscheidende Rolle.

**Ob die rund 5.700 Bitcoin im Gegenwert von aktuell rund 400 Millionen US-Dollar, die El Salvador selbst hält, eines Tages die Finanzen des Entwicklungslands merklich positiv beeinflussen, bleibt abzuwarten.**

Mein persönliches Fazit:

Es ist wohl an der Zeit, Bürgermeister meines kleinen Dorfes zu werden, um es zur Finanzmetropole unserer Einheitsgemeinde zu machen. Genügend Windräder und Photovoltaikanlagen für günstigen Strom um Bitcoin -Mining zu betreiben gibt es hier mehr als genug. Ich bin gespannt, wie sich die Zukunft bis 2030 entwickelt... 😇

In general, rating agencies rate the creditworthiness as rather low, even though S&P Global Ratings, for example, upgraded El Salvador from CCC+ to B- at the end of last year.

As early as 2023, the Bitcoin country's fixed-interest securities recorded above-average price gains. With a performance of +70 percent, El Salvador's bonds were the best-yielding government bonds of an emerging market in 2023.

**Economically Positive Outlook for Bitcoin Country**

After President Bukele successfully curbed gang crime, many hope that he will now get the economy on track.

El Salvador is already on the rise economically. At 4.5 percent, the economy is growing significantly faster than that of the USA and especially that of Germany!

At the same time, inflation in the Bitcoin country is around 0.8 percent, significantly below the inflation in Germany of 2.9%.

**El Salvador is well on its way to setting an example** of how a previously struggling country can heal without becoming dependent. The increase in tourism - fueled by the adoption of Bitcoin and lower crime rates - and the free-market approach probably play the decisive role in the upswing.

**It remains to be seen whether the approximately 5,700 Bitcoin, currently worth around 400 million US dollars, that El Salvador itself holds will one day have a noticeably positive impact on the developing country's finances.**

My personal conclusion:

It's probably time for me to become mayor of my small village to make it the financial capital of our unified community. There are more than enough wind turbines and photovoltaic systems for cheap electricity to operate Bitcoin mining here. I'm excited to see how the future develops until 2030... 😇
