In this post, we look at How to Round Numbers in Google Sheets. Previously we looked at the [RANDOM Function in Google Sheet](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TgiF7IjnkWs). It was for variety of the formula and the options that would make it easier for you to work with the problems in the spreadsheet. 

For this tutorial, I am going to show you how you can make use of the ROUND function that would allow you to round off the number to specific decimals. And that would make it easier for you handle the calculations specific for the finance. This would be something you would find handy tutorial in that case. 

Let's take a look at one of the tutorial where you can learn how to use ROUND function in Google Sheets.

Let's first open the Google Sheet spreadsheet. And then add some data specific to the fractions or you can say that float point values. So you an have that type of the data. 

Let's take a look at some of the ROUND functions. 

### ROUND

Let's add some sample data and then give it to the function. So below is the basic way for the function. 

> ROUND(99.445678,1)

Now let's take a look at some of the additional functions here. That would make it easier for you to work with the functions there. 

Now let's take a look at another function. 

### ROUNDUP

Here you can see that the function that you want to closest round up value. You can take a look at the sample data. 

>  ROUNDUP(99.44679,1)

Check the output and see how you got the round up value. 

### ROUNDDOWN

There are some of the roundest low values that you can check out. So here is one of the example for the same there as well. 

> ROUNDDOWN(99.4456789,1)

Now the final function for you to check that out. Which MROUND. So let's take a look at the function there. 

### MROUND

This function would round to the nearest multiple of another integer. So check out the function listed here.

> =MROUND(34.75, 0.1)

So that's it. Now you can experiment around with some of these functions. You can add the functions into the finance and the banking related operations that you have. Some of the same you can check out with examples online but I would say that you can test it out in the spreadsheet. So it's worth checking there. 

Now where you would be making use of the functions like this? In many places like invoices and the calculations where the float values matter. And they can be used in the places like that where you can also calculate the taxes to the nearest round. Something like that would be worth checking out by testing out such examples there. Hopefully you would find this series of the spreadsheet useful for your learning and even making use of in variety of places.
