I’m not going to lie; I 100% voted this as an emotional nostalgic response to the Spy vs Spy photo. 

You had me at Spy vs Spy. 😂

There’s a whirlwind of points going on here. Just when I thought I nailed down the primary topic of your post, BAM! you moved on (gracefully and with excellent connecting statements).

I first want to say that the world is a strange place. Last night I watched “Glass” in which Mr. Glass memory lapses to his childhood. In that memory, little Glass (Shard?) sneaks on a carnival ride, like every small child enjoys, only for the ride to smash him about and break many bones while his mother screams in despair. I’ve been thinking about this scene all day because I’ve nearly died a few times on carnival rides. 

 You colourfully crayon images of a theme park and hero’s. 

Then, an hour ago I was engaged in conversation and the person I was speaking with quoted Game of Thrones.

If you are expecting me to have a super deep final statement to that, I’ve let you down. My point is, the world is strange; your blog post here seems to have taken nuts and bolts, bits and scraps of my past 24(ish) hours and loopty looped them back to me. 

Anyway / 

I think you are wrong about this:

You are only seeing half of things. 

There’s a human psychological neurological behaviour of feeling like we are more, meant to be more, special, destined for greatness, different, magical, etc. Some dream that they are secretly witches, going to suddenly inherit billions of dollars from an unexpected source, learn they are really prince or princess. Everyone has there variation of that at some time in their life. 

And maybe we aren’t a magical witch princess billionaire, but that feeling is there within EVERYONE . There was a time where humans didn’t know what all our organs looked like or even did. We are still learning, even now.

This “hero” feeling has a reason. It’s an instinct that we have manifested into concepts that make sense while making no sense. But it will. And maybe it is making sense but we cannot comprehend it. It’s not about capes and sorcery or love songs of being hero’s 🎶 just for one day🎶 (now struck in my mind). But that universal fantasy, urge, wish shouldn’t be slept off so shallowly. It means something. 

And

Ok.  I think, despite or juvenile evolution and knowledge, there’s something deep down in our energy that KNOWS of the potential that we haven’t come close to. We keep pushing for more, and often it is in the wrong direction, yes. But we know that there’s something greater that we must move towards.

Yes. I agree. We are intelligent infants who use intelligence and power wrong. Put a good person in power and more often than not, they spoil. We have knowledge but know not what to do with it. We are children banging on pots rather than making a meal.

This depends on the demographic.I’m 41 and know sure as shit that I would vomit and cry all over what’s already broken. My ability to care for myself has been questionable based on my past choices . The only circumstance of me having power to make things better would require a magical goddess ability and wand to abracadabra peace, we are all star dust, and one. Basically lsd + ecstasy + psychic understanding. That’s isn’t going to happen. 

I don’t think too many people actually believe they can make everything better. They think they can make some specific things better. 

I feel that beneath this “if I were president”, “if I were god”, or “if I had 3 wishes” is simply a person wanting something DRAMATICALLY different and they know that there’s more. Better. Maybe they put themselves in that “power” position because they (we?) feel that all have historically failed in shockingly obvious ways, and will continue to. <b> Because it hurts a special deep kind of pain to know that we, humanoids CAN do better, someday will- but fucking when?, and we are powerLESS. 
 No one EVER likes being powerless. It’s sad and defeating. Humans Generally rise and stand hard and fortified against defeat, even if it means feeling like they could do better with power. Even if they kind of know that’s a fantasy fed lie. </b>

We don’t know the answers. We don’t even know the questions. We are a bunch of confused unequiped kids in slightly larger bodies and a few extra experiences reciting shit from Einstein, Shakespeare , Newton, Darwin, Jung, while fumbling  in a massive dark room looking for an untouchable thing. We feel it there, like eyes in a crowd looking at us, we know it’s there and it’s great and amazing and something better. but we don’t know what it is or even where. 

So, I don’t think people are deluded. 

You wouldn’t say that a 5 year old is “delusional”. 

And that’s all we are. 

Children trying to play house. 

People only think they can do better because they are powerless and want deeply to HELP and get to that place or find that truth in the dark.

That’s not helicopter parenting. That’s regular, good ol’ caring, loving, standard, fairly basic, parenting. Helicopter parenting would be if he stuck around the entire time and  wiped ketchup off your lips. 

I’m not sure how old you are, but someday you might see this differently. He loved and cared.

Usually those things don’t happen because of caution seeds that parents plant in your mind. 

Also, my friend was kidnapped as a child. 

My other friend was on a boat and the guy was going to kill her. He let her go and later was in the paper and had murdered others. 

I nearly died on the walkway at a fair while families walked over me. 

A child predator offered my kid candy. 


For the record, we live in a modest Ontario town. 

Those things that your father was trying to care about do happen.

Spoken like true double agent. 
Sometimes we get delusional about certain ideas and embrace them blindly. Quest for balance seems to be the right approach.

I'm really sorry for reaching out in such a manner and I don't like to ask for upvotes and stuff but as I realized that this situation can get drowned out if at all possible this is a subject matter and post that has great importance to me so any support if you believe in the post or me as an individual will be greatly appreciated all the proceeds of this post goes to hivefund anyways. or any place you could recommend I go to in order to get and put this awareness out there would be greatly appreciated It is the last post made.

At the end we are all human and I am using this as a footnote cause this is a subject that I feel like I need to read into as I'm not sure if I am trying to be a "hero" here or make sure that sometimes some things don't get drowned out in the mix of such a massive wave.

So sorry for this quick and first copy pasta post but I will dedicate time to read this in it's entirety and give a more appropriate comment.

That's the reality.('liking it' or 'not liking' it, is irrelevant)
Changingthis reality is akin to king Canute and his tidal escapades...

I agree.
This is direct opposition to the line 'leaders are thing of the past'.
_Politicking_ is the 'hierarchical jostling for power'.

How do you reconcile the disregarding of one reality ('leaders' and hierarchy), while accepting the reality of the other  paradigm (politics is real)...?

Spot on got one of those cool shiver reading down. I think all the narrative is gonna shift subsequently. And I'm happy for it, all narrative where the chosen one show em off slip out of my mind. Games of thrones that you cite put on display all the burden that a leader must and endure and the same is with kings, revolution leaders and all the tops. We gotta have a better, more creative solution to this. Yes storytelling is easier to write this way, politics are easier to grasp when there's the one on charge to blame but how slow is this system? how efficent? We are better off trying a more friendly and shared expirience. If I stop to think about it right now other then the hard to predict natural catastrophe(wich we can work towards) we have nothing to worry about till the eventual death of the sun, so if we stop waging wars to each other and on the planet we can take it slowly and make the best assessed choices.

I sometimes ask myself if this artificial intelligence thing will be able to catch up with real politics, the one humans use for their nefarious purposes, and if that time comes, will machines make our same mistakes and engage in the free exercise of hypocrisy to benefit themselves or please sides?
