Nah, the name was scary, initially, because,  as @minepoly said in one of his comments, **"it felt as though someone was watching behind to see if I'll make a mistake"** no, this time, **" to see if I have brains or not.**

You have the freedom to express who you are, and have an audience that relates to your experiences. They are there waiting to share in your sorrows, heartache, breakthroughs, joy, and achievements. 

This place is where you call "family". That is because they are always there to catch you when you are falling, and raise you to your feet. 

What is the name of this community? it's called Proof of brain..... now, you see why the name was scary at first for me?  winks 😉

You can join from anywhere on Hive, but, the best decision is to join from our front end, and I'll tell you why in a few paragraphs, soon. 

I can tell you for free that if you want to join the community and stay invisible, your experience will not change. 

You have to learn to get attention at all costs, and over here, you can do that, while, earning, and, having fun simultaneously. 

If no one is seeing you, do something about it, for my favorite author had said, ***"it's better to be slandered, than to be ignored".*** 

Don't get scared over the name of our community, it only means, people who stay here are those who have emotional intelligence. 

For a fact, anyone can learn that, and since it is said that ***"you are the average of five people you spend time with",*** then, you should rest assured that being in this community, means, everyone's emotional intelligence will rub off on you.

It's a general notion, that engagement brings visibility. Engagement is a method used to sell one's self. You are advertising yourself, every time, you leave a thought behind on someone's post.

Since you know engagement is the key to gaining visibility, you should also know that you could be found scampering around, without really gaining much. And, I don't want such a lousy experience for you, no.

When I first started, I didn't have upvote power on POB, but I click on upvote to upvote those posts. So that I will be able to keep track of those I have read and those I haven't. 

You can do the same if you don't have POB upvoting powers, by now, you should already know, you could be giving other tokens to the author, if he luckily uses the tags of other tokens, you already stacked. So it's a win-win situation here.

Don't forget if you vote someone 100%, it means, you can only vote 10 posts a day. If you want to vote for more posts, you have to reduce your voting percentage.

You must remember to use the tag(POB-wow). Use it the first time, you click publish, because if you forget, and edit your post, a lot of people may not find your post except they are following you, or using other means to follow the contest entries. 

Use other tags like (gems, creativecoin, archon, neoxian, planet, pob creativewriting, etc). More tags equal access to more tokens, sorry, you can only use up to 10 tags, so use them wisely. 

Also, credit your images. I almost forgot this part. Over here, and extensively on Hive, plagiarism is frown upon. So, when you use images from the internet, give credit, by sourcing your images.

And you should use free images, go through sites like pixaby, pixel, Unsplash, etc. They have lots of beautiful pictures, that you can use.

Your post shouldn't be plagiarized too, I trust you have gone through life, and it has given you tons of lessons. It is these lessons that we want you to share with us using the word of the week.

Ignore and resist the desire to put up other people's work as yours. Ignore and resist the desire to paraphrase other people's work. It will put dirt on your reputation, and it will defeat the purpose for which you started this journey in the first place.
