Uno de los géneros cinematográficos más amados por el público en general, son aquellos relacionados al crimen. Todos tenemos amigos o familiares que son amantes absolutos de los misterios, los detectives y las historias de asesinatos que parecen imposibles de resolver. Existen muchas formas de hacer una historia de crimen, pero uno de mis géneros favoritos, es la forma de thriller psicológico. Historias donde no solo tenemos un misterio muy denso y una trama cruenta, también tenemos un estudio psicológico profundo de los personajes y una forma de contar la historia que nos dejará con el cerebro echando humo. Pocos tipos de películas me hacen encender las neuronas tanto como estos, así que hoy quiero presentar tres de mis thrillers psicológicos favoritos.

Aunque se nos podrían ocurrir muchas historias de misterio y suspenso protagonizadas por un periodista, lo más inmediato que se nos podría ocurrir es la historia de algún reportero con intenciones de cubrir algún caso o suceso sumamente impactante o misterioso, que daría cuerda a un entramado de crímenes y una espiral de suspenso. Pero en el caso de [Nightcrawler](https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nightcrawler_(película)), nuestra historia está protagonizada por un reportero, que también es el villano de esta historia.

Comenzará a grabar y acercarse a sucesos y accidentes de una forma en la que traspasará los límites legales. Nightcrawler explora el como una persona ya inestable psicológicamente, termina cayendo en una espiral obsesiva que le romperá la poca cordura que le queda, dejando un rastro desastroso en su camino.

Nightcrawler posee una de las cinematografías más nocturnas que podrías encontrar, la película en general tiene una estética tanto visual como sonora que gira en torno a la idea de los animales nocturnos y el como la noche incide en la psicología del personaje. Nightcrawler ha sido comparada varias veces con la clásica [Taxi Driver](https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taxi_Driver), ambas comparten tener un protagonista inestable y marginado que se obsesiona demasiado con algo al punto de cruzar la barrera de la legalidad. Los protagonistas también comparten un poco en su ideología y su misantropía. Nightcrawler es un espectacular estudio de personaje y de la psicología detrás de un criminal que retrata la ferocidad y salvajismo al que puede llegar el periodismo.

Esta increíble película de misterio coreana, es probablemente uno de los thrillers psicológicos más singulares que existen. A mi parecer, es bastante único y su forma de tratar la historia, a sus personajes y sobre todo el final, la hacen genuinamente única en su género. Dirigida por el increíble [Bong Joon-Ho](https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bong_Joon-ho), director que se volvió sumamente popular tras el estreno de su obra maestra: [Parasite](https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parásitos_(película)). Esta, a mi parecer, es la segunda mejor película de este director. Esta obra nos ubica en 1986 en Corea del Sur. Nuestros protagonistas son dos detectives un poco torpes y relajados, los cuales son impactados con un caso horroroso, en el que encuentran a una chica que fue brutalmente asesinada y violada. La escena fue sumamente morbosa y desagradable, pero este crimen se repetiría y a nuestros protagonistas, les tocará buscar al culpable de estos terribles crímenes, con la ayuda de un nuevo detective con métodos muy distintos, ocasionando problemas internos en la investigación. Sorprendidos por lo raro de un asesino en serie en el pequeño pueblo en el que se desarrolla la historia, les esperará un camino de sospechosos extraños y un misterio que no parece querer resolverse por más que se esfuercen.

[Memories of Murder](https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memorias_de_un_asesino) es una película un poco desesperanzadora. Se trata a sí misma con un sentido del humor un tanto oscuro, pero sutil, característico del director. Sin embargo, muchos de los personajes presentados, especialmente los sospechosos, son personajes sumamente rotos y con un aura muy pesada. Los escenarios están sucios y desolados, todo lo que gira en torno a este caso es extremadamente pesimista. Así también se comporta la cinematografía y la música, Memories of Murder es naturalmente, una película que luce desganada, como si no quisiera que el caso se resolviera. Fácilmente, esta es la película con la historia más misteriosa de toda esta lista. Cure de algún modo se siente como una película de horror, no solo por en ocasiones puede ser bastante gráfica, si no por la naturaleza de su historia y el como esta está presentada. Cure nos narra la historia de un detective aproblemado, que trabaja todos los días para ayudar a su esposa, que padece de una enfermedad mental que la desorienta y le hace olvidar cosas. Su vida, la cual ya era lo suficientemente estresante, se pone aún peor cuando comienzan a haber extraños asesinatos con un mismo modus operandi, pero siempre capturan a un sospechoso diferente y ninguno de estos sospechosos recuerda el por qué hicieron lo que hicieron.

Cure es también la película con más densidad psicológica en sus personajes. No solo toda la película gira en torno a temas psicológicos como la hipnosis, las enfermedades mentales y los traumas, si no que los personajes principales están en constante deterioro mental. El protagonista tiene una evolución que va en detrimento de su cordura, el villano (el cual, personalmente, lo considero uno de los mejores villanos de cualquier thriller), es un personaje con una mentalidad extremadamente misteriosa y difícilmente logramos siquiera tener una idea de sus motivaciones. Todo acompañado de una increíble cinematografía llena de colores apagados y ambientes hospitalarios. "Cure" es una película casi psiquiátrica, que nos llevará por dimensiones mentales más allá, presentándonos una historia casi mágica.
