Me gusta estar haciendo cosas diferentes, no de modo simultáneo, pero si variar las cosas que hago. Lo podrán haber notado en mi blog, soy la suma de muchos gustos y los muestro todos por aquí. Me podrán ver en la cocina, tocando un instrumento, cantando, embebida en las flores, dando consejos o simplemente escribiendo alguna reflexión de vida, y en ese constante cambio pasé por la cocina tratando de hacer algo diferente ¡Y lo logré!

Tenía unas batatas en casa, ya las había comido sancochadas y fritas, entonces se me ocurrió buscar otra opción para prepararlas, recordé que había escuchado hablar de los *Brownies de batata*. Hoy día muchas personas con ciertas restricciones alimenticias buscan, constantemente, alternativas para sustituir la harina de trigo. Investigué un poco por aquí y por allá, aporté mi toque personal y salió esta preparación.

No podría decirles si esta receta es genuinamente *saludable*, pues lleva *azúcar*, que para muchas personas también representa un alimento *no saludable*. Yo pienso que no es tanto lo que comamos, sino la cantidad de lo que comamos. Sucumbir a los excesos, en cualquier ámbito de nuestra vida, suele traernos grandes inconvenientes.

¡Y luego de esta *reflexión en la cocina*, vamos por la receta!

* Para hacer el puré de batata, pelé y sancoché, dos batatas medianas. Una vez que estuvieron sancochadas las aplasté con un pisapapas, fui agregando un poco del agua dónde las sancoché hasta obtener una textura sedosa.
> To make the sweet potato puree, I peeled and boiled two medium-sized sweet potatoes. Once they were parboiled, I mashed them with a potato masher, adding a little of the water where I parboiled them until I obtained a silky texture.

* La taza de avena la dejé remojando toda la noche, agregué agua hasta cubrirla. La llevé a un procesador y mezclé junto al cacao.

* Añadí esta mezcla al puré junto con el huevo, vainilla, licor de café, las cucharadas de almíbar (mezcla de agua y azúcar que cocino a baja temperatura por unos cinco minutos), aceite, vainilla. Mezclé y luego añadí el azúcar, volví a mezclar. *Si no te gustan, los postres muy dulces pueden obviar el uso del almíbar*.

Una vez que la mezcla estuvo lista, corté finamente trozos de chocolate blanco y lo agregué en la superficie. ¡Hubiera sido excelente agregar nueces, pero no tenía en casa! Si deseas agregarlas este sería el momento, recuerda primero tostar un poco las nueces y cubrirlas levemente con harina antes de incluirlas en la mezcla.

* Llevé a horno precalentado (diez minutos) a 180 grados centígrados por 35 minutos, recuerda que los tiempos de cocción suelen depender de la potencia de tu horno y en este caso del espesor del brownie.

Les adelanto que me quedó superdulce, yo no me quejo, pero se los comento para que lo tengan en cuenta. La textura es bastante suave, esto creo que se debe a al uso de la batata en forma de puré. Me gustó bastante el sabor, se siente el chocolate en su máxima expresión. 

*¿Lo único malo? 
¡Que lo devoré! 
Mi diente dulce estuvo feliz.*

Hola amiga, este postre se ve muy rico y provocativo. El mundo de la cocina es muy amplio y uno puede probar recetas nuevas, cambiar y sobre todo animares a cocinar, no sabía este otro uso de la batata, en casa la comemos sancochadas, pero esto está genial. Un procedimiento muy sencillo y fácil de hacer, además los ingredientes que utilizas son comunes. El toque de licor de café, debe ser lo máximo en este postre. Espero de que hayan disfrutado de todo esto. Saludos.

Respondí desde el móvil pero como que al final no salió, te respondía que con las variadas restricciones alimenticias que existen hoy en día y los ajustes en los hábitos alimenticios de muchas personas los postres han cambiado mucho, alejándose de los ingredientes tradicionales.

Una vez hice una tyorta de calabacín que fue todo un *fail*, quiero hacerla nuevamente, pero me toca investigar más :)
