Súper feliz de participar en esta tercera edición del grupo de #foodies en su iniciativa para la presentación de preparación de bebidas tradicionales, gracias a la organización @sirenahippie por siempre valorar nuestro trabajo. Hoy vengo a presentar mi entrada con la delicada y refrescante preparación de  un sabroso Guarapo de Papelón con limón, como lo dicen acá en mi tierra del Oriente Venezolano, aunque su preparación sea sencilla, debemos valorar los antecedentes del mismo y así  estimar las grandes ventajas que se obtienen al consumir esta bebida.

De acuerdo a sus antecedentes, esta bebida es típica en varios países de Hispanoamérica como Colombia, Costa Rica y Venezuela, en el continente Europeo es consumida en países como España, durante la época de verano. Se considera una bebida típica tradicional, acá en mi país Venezuela los datos arrojan que esta bebida de origen criollo, se consumía en los tiempos prehistóricos trapiches venezolanos, acompañado junto al casabe y el queso chincho, el papelón era fuente motriz de dónde sacaron energía los peones, esclavos y hacendados, más adelante los republicanos, campesinos, soldados y generales. 

La caña de azúcar es originaria de Nueva Guinea, donde los navegantes la llevaron a la India, extendiéndose a China y otras regiones de Asia, con el descubrimiento de América llego el cultivo, expandiéndose por las zonas cálidas, donde cobro tanta importancia que se inició su exportación a Europa. Actualmente el azúcar que consumimos en nuestro país proviene de la caña de azúcar.

Today I come to present my entry with the delicate and refreshing preparation of a tasty Guarapo de Papelón with lemon, as they say here in my land of Eastern Venezuela, although its preparation is simple, we must value the background of the same and thus estimate the great advantages obtained by consuming this drink.

>According to its background, this drink is typical in several Latin American countries such as Colombia, Costa Rica and Venezuela, in the European continent it is consumed in countries like Spain, during the summer season. It is considered a typical traditional drink, here in my country Venezuela the data show that this drink of Creole origin, was consumed in prehistoric times Venezuelan trapiches, accompanied by cassava and cheese chincho, the papelón was a driving source from where they drew energy peons, slaves and landowners, later the Republicans, peasants, soldiers and generals. 

>Sugar cane originated in New Guinea, where navigators took it to India, extending to China and other regions of Asia. With the discovery of America, the crop was cultivated, expanding to the warm zones, where it became so important that it began to be exported to Europe. Currently, the sugar we consume in our country comes from sugar cane.

El papelón con limón es una bebida típica tradicional de Venezuela, aunque se consuma en otros países de América Latina, no existe un motivo específico para consumirla o una fecha especial, nuestro país de acuerdo a su ubicación, posee climas de ambientes calurosos y calientes, en playas, en la ciudad, en campos, en los llanos, se podrá apreciar esta bebida en las mesas venezolanas, bien sea acompañado unas cachapas, empanadas o las típicas arepas, siempre hacer su aparición especial.

Elegí esta bebida porque aparte de ser muy deliciosa representa mi gentilicio, de donde soy y lo afortunado que somos de tenerla en nuestro hogar, la aprendí a hacer con mi mama, quien desde pequeña me enseño a realizar y siempre que vamos de comprar y cada vez que podemos la añado a mi lista para realizar un rico papelón con limón, aparte que en la zona donde vivo en la ciudad de Carúpano estado Sucre, es súper caluroso el clima y nunca esta demás consumir durante el día un vasito de esta divinura. 

Hacerla me recuerda a mi niñez cuando mi mamá me acompañaba a realizarla, esperaba que llegara de la escuela para recibirme con un vasito de papelón con limón, gratos recuerdos que siempre llevo y llevare en mi memoria, hoy en día se lo hacemos a ella para complacerla y nunca perder la tradición. Aunque algunas veces lo utilicemos para sustituir el azúcar. Las distintas ventajas que trae su consumo son cada día más sorprendentes desde su alto contenido en calcio, vitaminas A,B,C,D Y E, minerales, potasio, fosforo, magnesio, entre otros. Consumirla es favorable al organismo. Espero y disfruten su preparación.

>The papelón with lemon is a typical traditional Venezuelan drink, although it is consumed in other Latin American countries, there is no specific reason to consume it or a special date, our country according to its location, has climates of hot and warm environments, on beaches, in the city, in fields, in the plains, you can appreciate this drink in the Venezuelan tables, either accompanied by some cachapas, empanadas or the typical arepas, always make its special appearance.

>I chose this drink because besides being very delicious it represents my gentilicio, where I am from and how fortunate we are to have it in our home, I learned to make it with my mom, who since I was a child taught me to make it and whenever we go shopping and whenever we can I add it to my list to make a delicious papelón with lemon, besides that in the area where I live in the city of Carúpano, Sucre state, the weather is super hot and it is never too much to consume during the day a glass of this divinity. 

>Making it reminds me of my childhood when my mom used to accompany me to make it, she would wait for me to come home from school to welcome me with a glass of papelón with lemon, pleasant memories that I always carry and will carry in my memory, nowadays we make it for her to please her and never lose the tradition. Although sometimes we use it to replace sugar. The different advantages that its consumption brings are more and more surprising every day, from its high content in calcium, vitamins A, B, C, D and E, minerals, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, among others. Consuming it is favorable to the organism. I hope you enjoy its preparation.

Primero que nada ralle con un rayo de cocina la ½ panela de papelón completa.

Seguidamente lavo los limones y los pico en 2 y 4 partes para proceder a exprimirlos.

En un jarra con el jugo de limón, añado el ½ litro de agua y también la ½ panela de papelón rallado.

Voy batiendo con una cucharilla para que se integren todos los ingredientes, ya listo. Preparo mi vaso con hielo en cubito y sirvo. Espero y les guste.
