ROBOT VERSUS HUMAN BEINGS

Apparently we are living in a digital and very fast growing generation in terms of technological advancement. Yesterday, I was able to highlight some of the significance of technology to agricultural sector where the impact are great and can't be overemphasized.

I was shocked this morning when I said let me look at the engagement for this first edition in the hive learners community. Hmmm 🤔 I saw the topic I never thought of because I was wondering what would I write to meet up the required word count. The theme says Robot help. Haven gone through it over and over I realized that we are already living in this reality even though in Nigeria it might be gradual but I believe in most other parts of the country they have already gone far in technology.

Robots in the present day has become an instrument of great help to humans and non human even though whatever that has it advantages in the other side has its own disadvantage as well. I can't deny the fact that since the advent of robot there has been increase in productivity and possibly profit margin level in most of the companies because what a robot does within an hour would take human beings manually almost a day or two. This obviously has shortened the time that would have been spent to achieve a particular task. The significance of robots to daily life is amazing and is very good however individuals should be cautious.

Let me go straight to the lines given on which robot could be of help and my input. Let me start from the area of house chores. Wow with the kind of busy schedule and workaholic generation we have today, most people and families tend to look for alternative. With the way we are going, very soon some organization will lay off most of their staff because of the invention of robot which can perform the job and faster than even the human beings.

Robot to clean the house 🏠 and cook for me hmmm what would I be doing then? Just to sit, sleep and fold my legs? If the robot would do all the house chores then what would i be doing? I think its good to use the services of robots like in my house i used to fetch water from the borehole, i used to go on errands for my wife but human beings shouldn't be completely exempted from the work because engaging in such work would help the body system to keep fit in form of exercise. With robot, i can at least relax and have more time for myself to tackle other things. As for cooking food, most restaurants today have been configured with sophisticated machines. Robot Services in this area is good.

What about taking care of children? That means instead of having a nany one would go for a robot. The only challenge i have is can the robot breastfeed? Can it cuddle the child when attention is needed? Robot can't be emotional and feel the pains like human beings.
If robot were to do everything that human ought to do, it would make human beings dependent on it. I think there's need to clearly define boundaries where robots could be applied and where human beings could still perform their functions to paste with what life has to offer. Let there be balance so that human beings will not be relegated. Imagine if human beings don't do anything because all things are handled by robots that means very soon we would have robotic world, country, state etc...where humans aren't needed.

If we have robots it will surely be an helpful hands for us, having robots to do chores for us will surely reduce stress for us. And I don't think robots should be breastfeeding because if it does people will be letting robots to breastfeed their children for them instead of them. And robots can never show emotions because they can't feel any pains we are feeling. Nice write-up
