Growing Up Feels Different From What I Expected

While still a kid , i always looked forward to growing up and becoming an adult.

I had this belief that becoming an adult gives you so much fun and freedom, the imagination of doing anything you want , make your own choice without being mandated to do otherwise was something that always occupied my memory.

But now that I’m growing up, it feels very different.

Yes, there’s some freedom, but it comes with pressure. There are decisions I have to make, and most times I’m not even sure what the right choice is.

While i am still learning how to take charge and handle my life , people expect me to act like an adult.

I’ve started to see that growing up is. It isn’t just about getting older. We also learn how to deal with disappointment, getting strong when things don’t go your way. It’s about saying no, letting go of some people, and facing your fears even when you’re not ready.

It’s also about seeing life more clearly. You begin to notice things you didn’t pay attention to before.

The Extent your parents go just to provide for the family is something you can not neglect or maybe you begin to see, the unfairness of the world is also something you begin to notice, how quick things could change and people who are close to you automatically stops talking to you.

I sometimes wish that i can just pause life for a moment and take a break , that is how overwhelming thing can be.

I wish I didn’t have to worry about the future or pretend to have it all figured out. But at the same time, I know these moments are shaping me into the person I’m meant to be.

learning, failing, getting back up, and still moving forward are some of the lessons i have learnt whiole growing up. Having the courage to discover your true self , and not the identity people gave you , or what they think you are or what you should be.

Even though it’s scary sometimes, I know I’m not alone. In our own ways , we grow , we face our own seperate battles , and then learn as we grow.

I won't say that i am perfect now , or maybe i have everything ,this is ok , it is not bad , I am still learning to become that type pf person i want. I can't see any other perfect explanation of what growing up is all about

Adulthood has it's fun but it also has responsibilities. And the joy of adulthood comes from a person handling these responsibilities well. When one becomes an adult he begins to understand the heavy burden their parents bore while raising them. Adulthood is a difficult stage of life to experience.
