Most of my teeth are crooked to the point of wearing braces for many years and they are still not quite even, and this is because when I was a child I would not let them pull my teeth out right away, I would not even let them come near me, in fact I would sometimes hide from my parents that I had a loose tooth, Just thinking about the pain I would have to go through when that tooth was extracted gave me terror, although now thinking in retrospect, I think the torture was worse when I didn't let them extracted on time because they hurt for many days and even eating was an ordeal. Now I must say that thank God! My Mathias did not inherit that cowardice, and I believe that in any sense.

At the beginning of last week we noticed that one of his lower teeth was starting to loosen, I felt nostalgic because that is an indication that he is no longer a baby and that his growth is going well, by Friday it was already quite loose and on Saturday it continued the same, but this particular day we were watching movies in the morning and as a distraction he started to play with his tooth, after eating a bowl of popcorn he came out running and jumping up and down showing me his tooth bathed in blood, but still stuck to the gum, I must say that it gave me a slight fright because I didn't know what to do, my dentist doesn't work on Saturday; However, she told me that I could call her in case of any emergency, and that's what I intended to do, my mother checked it because I was paralyzed and told me that although it was bleeding it still needed to loosen more. I had to go out to buy some things that day and I also had to go to my aunt's house to bring her some things, so I left him with my mother.

While I was at my aunt's house I received a call from my mother, I thought she wanted to say something to my aunt, however, my surprise was that she called me to inform me that Mathias had pulled out his tooth himself, I was cold, I couldn't believing what he was telling me, I immediately finished leaving my aunt's things and literally ran home. When I arrived, I found Mathias playing cards with my sister-in-law, sitting in the patio of the house and with a piece of cotton where the tiny tooth used to be. Immediately he jumped out of the chair where he was and hugged me, I assumed that he would cry because of the pain, since he had knocked out his tooth, and well no, the first thing he said to me was Now the <b>Ratón Pérez</b> is going to come!  Ha, ha, yes. All the excitement was to see what the Pérez mouse would bring him.

That day we finished spending the afternoon and part of the night playing and sharing with the family, and before going to sleep he asked me to give him his tooth, because he wanted to put it under his pillow as we had already told him what to do, this also brought me such pleasant memories of my childhood, and of everything that my parents did to make me happy, and that is that definitely as parents we are a factory of memories and we must do everything possible so that these are always pleasant. He spent the night and when he woke up yesterday the first thing he did was lift his pillow and see that in the place of the tooth there was an envelope with a $10 bill (he still doesn't know how to count well, but he knows how to differentiate the bills), his amazement was so spectacular that it made me shed some tears, I regret so much not having recorded that moment, and sometimes I try not to be so <b>mamarazzi</b> and leave those moments recorded just for me.

Almost instantly he began to plan what he would buy with those 10 $ and to show it to everyone who came home hahaha, his excitement was so spontaneous and original, the joy overflowed in him. At midday I went out to the supermarket and left him with my mother, because he now has an allergic rhinitis so I prefer not to expose him too much to contact with other people, but before leaving, he ran out to get his money and expressly asked me to buy him a box of legos, he really loves these things. That's what I did and when I got home the first thing he asked me was if I had bought him his legos, when he saw the box he got so excited, and went in search of my brother to help him put it together, I think that more than the toy what he loves is this time shared with my brother.

After an hour assembling his Lego cart, he could not stop thanking his uncle for helping him and me for pleasing him by buying him what he had asked for, and for these moments and that joy everything is worth the effort. For a moment I forgot the scare I felt when he showed me that bloody tooth and the tickle in the pit of my stomach when he showed me the tiny tooth already in his hand, my son has a coward mother, but he has the courage that she lacks, and in all that makes me think that I am not doing it all wrong.

<div class="text-justify">¡Yo siempre he sido cobarde, he de admitirlo! La mayoría de mis dientes están torcidos al punto de usar por muchos años ortodoncia y aún no están del todo parejos, y esto debido a que cuando era niña no dejaba que me sacaran los dientes al momento, ni siquiera dejaba que se me acercaran, de hecho le ocultaba en ocasiones a mis padres que tenía algún diente flojo, el solo hecho de pensar en el dolor por el que tendría que pasar al momento de que me fuera extraído aquel diente me daba terror, aunque ahora pensando en retrospectiva, creo que la tortura era peor al no dejar que los extrajeran a tiempo pues por ello me dolían por muchos días e incluso comer era un suplicio. Ahora debo decir que ¡Gracias a Dios! Mi Mathias no heredo esa cobardía, y creo que en ningún sentido.

A principios de la semana pasada notamos que uno de sus dientes inferiores estaba comenzando a aflojarse, sentí nostalgia pues eso es indicativo de que ya no es un bebe y que su crecimiento va viento en popa, para el viernes ya estaba bastante flojo y el sábado continuaba igual, pero este día en particular nos dedicamos a ver películas en la mañana y el cómo distracción comenzó a jugar con su diente, luego de comer un tazón de cotufas (palomitas de maíz) salió corriendo y dando brincos mostrándome su diente bañado en sangre, pero aun pegado a la encía, debo decir que a mí me dio un ligero patatús pues me entro un susto de no saber que hacer, mi odontólogo no trabaja el día sábado; sin embargo, ella me comento que podría llamarla en caso de cualquier emergencia, y eso pretendía hacer, mi madre lo reviso porque yo estaba paralizada y me comento que aunque estaba sangrando aún faltaba que aflojara más. Yo tenía que salir a comprar unas cosas ese día y además debía pasar por casa de mi tía a llevarle unas cosas, así que lo deje con mi madre.

Mientras estaba en casa de mi tía recibí la llamada de mi madre, pensé que le quería decir algo a mi tía, sin embargo, mi sorpresa fue que me llamaba para informarme que Mathias se había arrancado el diente el mismo, quede fría, no podía creer lo que me decía, de inmediato le termine de dejar las cosas a mi tía y salí literalmente corriendo a la casa, cuando llegue, me encontré con Mathias jugando a las cartas con mi cuñada, sentado en el patio de la casa y con un pedacito de algodón donde anteriormente estaba el diminuto diente. De inmediato el salto de la silla donde estaba y me abrazo, supuse que lloraría por dolor, ya que se había arrancado el diente, y pues no, lo primero que me dijo fue ¡Ahora si va a venir el <b>Ratón Pérez</b>! Jajaja sí. Toda la emoción era por ver que le traería el ratón Pérez.

Ese día terminamos de pasar la tarde y parte de la noche jugando y compartiendo con la familia, y antes de irse a dormir me pidió que le diera su diente, pues él quería colocarlo debajo de la almohada como ya le habíamos contado que debía hacer, esto además me trajo tan gratos recuerdos de mi infancia, y de todo lo que mis padres hacían para que yo estuviera feliz, y es que definitivamente como padres somos una fábrica de recuerdos y hay que hacer lo posible para que estos siempre sean gratos. Paso la noche y al despertar ayer lo primero que hizo fue levantar su almohada y ver que en el lugar del diente se encontraba un sobre con un billete de 10 $ (aún no sabe contar bien, pero sabe diferenciar los billetes), su cara de asombro fue tan espectacular que hizo que se me salieran algunas lágrimas, me arrepiento tanto de no haber grabado ese momento, y es que a veces trato de no ser tan <b>mamarazzi</b> y dejar esos momentos grabados solo para mí.

Casi al instante comenzó a planificar que compraría con esos 10 $ y a mostrárselo a todo aquel que llegaba a casa jajaja, su emoción era tan espontánea y original, la alegría desbordaba en él. Llegado el medio día me dispuse a salir al supermercado y lo dejé con mi madre, pues él tiene ahora una rinitis alérgica por la que prefiero no exponerlo mucho al contacto con otras personas, pero antes de salir, salió corriendo a buscar su dinero y me encargo expresamente que le comprara una cajita de legos, el ama realmente estas cosas. Eso hice y al llegar a casa lo primero que me pregunto fue que si le había comprado sus legos, al ver la caja se emocionó tanto, y salió en búsqueda de mi hermano para que lo ayudara a armar el mismo, creo que más que el juguete lo que ama es este tiempo compartido con mi hermano.

Luego de una hora armando su carrito de legos, no podía dejar de darle las gracias a su tío por ayudarlo y a mí por complacerlo comprándole lo que él había pedido, y es que por estos momentos y esa alegría todo vale el esfuerzo. Por un instante olvide el susto que sentí cuando me mostró ese diente ensangrentado y la cosquilla que me dio en la boca del estómago cuando me enseño luego el diminuto diente ya en su mano, mi hijo tiene una madre cobarde, pero él tiene la valentía que a ella le falta, y dentro de todo eso me hace pensar que no lo estoy haciendo del todo mal.
