En fin de semana, específicamente el domingo 5 de Febrero de 2023 a las 8:30pm ET de los Estados Unidos, se estará disputando lo que es la primera de la temporada de la serie de la copa NASCAR. Esta carrera lleva por nombre **Busch Light Clash** y se correrá en Los Angeles Coliseum en la fecha y hora ya mencionada. Lo cierto es que esta carrera es de exhibición y para nada cuenta para lo que será el próximo campeonato que dará comienzo oficialmente con las 500 de Daytona y su edición número 65, el 19 del presente mes de año. En esta oportunidad me voy a concentrar en comentarles una previa sobre lo que se será este evento del Clash y que nos espera de en él, ya que esta temporada viene con muchas novedades entorno a las carreras que son importantes mencionar.

El 04 de Febrero es cuando los pilotos entrarán a pista luego de varios meses de inactividad tras haber culminado los campeonatos 2022 de las diferentes divisiones nacionales de NASCAR, cuando el día sábado disputen lo que es las tres sesiones de las prácticas libres que se dará para esta carrera, donde la lista de entrada se dividirá en tres grupos para disputar estos entrenamientos (cada grupo hará individualmente las tres sesiones), donde cada piloto y equipo probará su auto, para realizar la puesta a punto para lo que será la carrera principal. El mismo sábado se dará lo que es la clasificación donde pueden participar los autos que deseen inscribirse, ya que al final tan solo serán 28 los que se clasificarán para el evento principal del día domingo. Tengo entendido que cada piloto tendrá disponible tres vueltas, donde la primera es de calentamiento y las otras dos ya son vueltas cronometradas. Esta qualy lo que determinará son las posiciones para las carreras eliminatorias donde conoceremos los 28 participantes del the Clash. El orden de salida en esta clasificación se determina de acuerdo al campeonato de propietarios de la anterior temporada, de acuerdo a las posiciones de menor a mayor.

Ahora bien, en las carreras eliminatorias los 5 mejores de cada una de estas carreras avanzan a la carrera principal, donde serán 4 las eliminatorias, es decir, que serán 20 los pilotos que pasen para el evento de manera directa tras los resultados de estos Heat mientras que los otros pelear por un cupo en otras dos carreras a 50 vueltas cada una de ellas. Los tres mejores pilotos de estas últimas carreras son los que avanzan para completar de esta manera 26 plazas y las otras dos están reservadas para los mejores dos pilotos que hayan concluido en el estado del campeonato del 2022. La verdad es que este formato es muy complicada de entender, ya que hay varios opciones para los pilotos obtener su cupo para lo que será el evento del día domingo 5, aun así también tenemos la oportunidad de ver cada una de estas sesiones y carreras para estar al tanto de cada detalle entorno a esta importante carrera, al ser la primera del año 2023.

150 serán las vueltas que está pautado este evento principal del día domingo, que vi bien y como les he dicho anteriormente, esta carrera no otorga puntos pero lo que si es que los pilotos y equipos luchan más allá del premio económico por llevarse el evento, por la carrera y comenzar de la mejor manera este año 2023, con el impulso necesario para el inicio oficial de la temporada. El ganador de esta carrera en el 2022 fue Joey Logano del auto Ford 22 del equipo, quien a la postre terminó de llevarse el campeonato 2022, siendo este su segundo título de la serie de la copa NASCAR. ¿Quién gane la carrera del The Clash 2023 será el campeón de la temporada? pues esta carrera suelen ser una prueba de fuego para determinar como vienen cada uno de las organizaciones, pero la verdad es que esto lo veo poco probable y lo del año pasado solo fue una casualidad, al menos es mi opinión personal. Veremos cómo se va desarrollando la temporada.

Otro piloto que me resulta favorito es Chase Elliott, un piloto que tuvo una buena temporada pasada, solo que en los playoffs la fortuna no lo acompañó, pero querrá comenzar de la mejor manera en esta temporada 2023. Otro piloto que no tuve uno buenos playoffs, ni campeonato 2022 como se esperaba fue Kyle Larson, pero pienso que vendrá con todo este año para dejarse apocar por su rivales. Finalmente Kyle Busch es otro de los que espera que puedan triunfar en esta carrera, aunque hay una incógnita como le irá en su nuevo equipo Richard childress racing y su auto Chevy número 8. ¿Cómo será la carrera del The Clash y la temporada 2023 de Busch? esto lo sabremos a medida que vaya la temporada, pero hay bastantes expectativa en Kyle y su desenvolvimiento en su nueva organización, si va en la misma línea con su jefe de equipo, mecánicas e ingenieros en general.

El óvalo donde se va a disputar esta carrera es el **Angeles Coliseum**, siendo este uno de los escenarios deportivos más iconos de la localidad ya que este campo de Fútbol americano donde además de disputarse estos partidos de uno de los deportes más visto de EE.UU, púes también se disputo uno juegos olímpicos y también, NASCAR habido corrido allí en el pasado, pero luego de no visitar más la pista, el año pasado volvieron a esta localidad con la carrera del The Clah, regresando en este 2023. Este es un óvalo de asfalto de 0.25 millas, construido dentro de Los Ángeles Memorial Coliseum, siendo el más pequeño que se visita en el año, incluso más chico que Martinsville y Bristol. Una de las principales complicaciones que le veo a este escenario es el poco peralte que tiene, que incluso creo que es de 0 o como mucho será entre el rango de 0° - 1° por lo cual le complicada la existencia a los pilotos.
