Decorating an empty wall

Have you ever stared at an empty wall in your house wondering what to do with the wall? Perhaps it needs a new coat of paint or perhaps you just need to hang a few things on the wall to make it stand out.

Fact is that you can decorate the wall any way you want. Whether you frame pictures of your loved ones to hang in on the wall, or whether you just paint the wall, it will make a big difference to the wall.

The opportunities and ideas are endless.

These last few weeks I have been feeling like an empty wall. I needed a good clean break so I totally unplugged for the last three weeks. Every time I had the urge to switch on my laptop I grabbed a book to read. I caught up with a lot of reading, and I just chilled.

I am now once again ready to decorate my wall. I am ready for a new challenge and started to develop a new open curriculum for our school. I am rested and believe it or not, I am more focused because I completely shut down and had enough time to spend on myself.

Sometimes unplugging is just what we need. At this current time we are all just a work in progress. We have to color our own walls the way that we want to, and it is our decision what we leave on our walls for others to see.

Often all we need is just a coat of paint, but sometimes we need to frame some pictures to hang on our walls to become a focus point.

I totally get it!  Glad to see you listened to yourself and unplugged as it does the soul a world of good.  I did the same thing, but, I took off almost 8 months, and wow I feel totally renewed.  Sometimes we just have to do it for ourselves.  This was a great post @giantbear

I totally understand the pulling back I also lost my parents one after the other and it took a lot out of me to take care of their belongings, etc.  It was a hard 2 years and I finally just pulled the plug to recenter and take care of myself.  You knew what you had to do, congrats for listening to yourself.  Have a great day.

> I needed a good clean break so I totally unplugged for the last three weeks. Every time I had the urge to switch on my laptop I grabbed a book to read. I caught up with a lot of reading, and I just chilled.

Probably I feel something similar (or the same), when I read a good fantasy book, either in English or in Hungarian (my mother tongue).

Exactly. For example go out into a park, sit down on a bench, and stay there for hours, listening to the birds chirping, or enjoying the silence, the clean air, and nature itself. Doing this is giving me a huge love and peace feeling.

Figuratively speaking, I am doing it almost every day. One way or another. It gives me love and peace. I wish the same to everyone else.
