Un feliz viernes para mis amigos artesanos, espero que haya  sido una semana llena de éxitos y bendiciones para cada uno de ustedes, por mi parte fue una  semana de trámites de documentos y como quizás sabrán esto algunas veces indica armarse de paciencia para esperar y como buena artesana  hay que llevar las armas necesarias para hacer de ese tiempo de espera un tiempo productivo.

>A happy Friday to my artisan friends, I hope it has been a week full of success and blessings for each of you, for my part it was a week of paperwork and as you may know this sometimes requires patience to wait and as a good artisan you have to carry the necessary weapons to make that waiting time a productive time.

Por experiencia he optado por cargar en mi bolso una cartuchera muy especial la cual contiene hilos, agujas de tejer y corta hilo, uno nunca sabe cuándo lo puede necesitar. Como he comentado en algunos post anteriores en enero fui víctima de un robo y entre las cosas que perdí a causa de ello estaban mis documentos  personales tales como mi cedula de identidad y mi acta de nacimiento.

>From experience I have chosen to carry in my bag a very special pencil case which contains yarn, knitting needles and thread cutter, you never know when you might need it. As I have mentioned in some previous posts in January I was the victim of a robbery and among the things I lost because of it were my personal documents such as my identity card and my birth certificate.

Como quizás sabrán acá en Venezuela el solicitar de nuevo la cédula de identidad es un proceso algo engorroso, me tomó varias horas poder conseguir una cita en línea en una oficina cercana  para acceder a dicho procedimiento y al final logré obtener la cita para el día jueves 4 de abril. 

>As you may know here in Venezuela applying again for the identity card is a somewhat cumbersome process, it took me several hours to get an appointment online at a nearby office to access the procedure and finally I managed to get the appointment for Thursday April 4.

Por asuntos de falta de tiempo decidí postergar la solicitud de mi acta de nacimiento para esta misma  semana; **pues este era un  proceso más rápido** solo era ir solicitar mi acta y esperar a que fuera impresa y ya, más no fue así; acudí el día martes y luego de solicitar dicha acta me dijeron que espera unos 30 minutos mientras procedían a imprimirla, así que tomé asiento y para hacer la espera más placentera saqué **mi cartuchera de emergencia**, entre los hilos que me quedaban en existencia estaban dos tonos de amarillo, un poquito de un tono naranja  y un verde bicolor.

>Due to time constraints I decided to postpone the application for my birth certificate to this week; **because this was a faster process** I just had to apply for my birth certificate and wait for it to be printed and that was it, but that was not the case; I went on Tuesday and after requesting my birth certificate they told me to wait about 30 minutes while they proceeded to print it, so I took a seat and to make the wait more pleasant I took out **my emergency pencil case**, among the threads I had left in stock were two shades of yellow, a little bit of orange and a green bicolor.

Tomé aguja  e hilo y comencé a tejer, mientras pensaba en que tejer pasó una chica que llevaba un bolígrafo decorado, eso me inspiró y me dije **voy a personalizar mi bolígrafo** y decidí tejer un clavel compuesto por dos flores, para ello  comencé tejiendo 10 puntos bajos sobre una anillo mágico.

Seguido tejería 3 aumentos en puntos altos en las siguientes vueltas, pasados los 30 minutos ya había terminado  las  dos primeras vueltas de mis flores, cuando me dijeron que mi acta no se encontraba en el sistema y que debía ir por ella al día siguiente, así que sin pensar en más guardé mi tejido y regresé a casa; tejí la flor del centro en el tono claro y la otra flor con el tono oscuro.

>I took needle and yarn and started to knit, while I was thinking about what to knit a girl passed by with a decorated pen, that inspired me and I said to myself **I'm going to personalize my pen** and I decided to knit a carnation composed of two flowers, for that I started knitting 10 single crochet stitches over a magic ring.

>After 30 minutes I had already finished the first two rounds of my flowers, when I was told that my certificate was not in the system and that I had to go get it the next day, so without thinking about anything else I put my knitting away and went back home; I knitted the center flower in the light tone and the other flower in the dark tone.

Dejé mi proyecto guardado para seguirlo tejiendo el día jueves mientras esperara para la solicitud de mi cédula de identidad y así lo hice mientras espera mi turno fui tejiendo las vueltas que faltaban, al finalizar ambas flores una de 3 vueltas y la otra de 4 vueltas, quise darle intensidad con tejiendo una última vuelta con puntos bajos en el tono naranja que me quedaba. Me tomó aproximadamente unos 40 minutos de espero poder ingresar a la oficina para que me tomaran los datos y fotos para mi cédula.

>I left my project saved to continue knitting it on Thursday while I was waiting for the application for my identity card and so I did while waiting for my turn I was knitting the remaining loops, when I finished both flowers one with 3 loops and the other with 4 loops, I wanted to give it intensity by knitting a last loop with low stitches in the orange tone that I had left. It took me about 40 minutes of waiting to get to the office to take my data and photos for my ID card.

Al llegar a casa, mi flor estaba terminada pero le faltaban las hojas y como colocaría dicha flor a mi bolígrafo, como  sabemos dichos bolígrafos no son eternos y debía tejer algo que pudiera ser quita y pon, así que tejí una forma de palmera en el tono verde, con hojas puntiagudas y solucioné mi problema, ya tengo como  personalizar mi bolígrafo, por lo que le tiempo de espera tanto para mi acta de nacimiento como de mi cédula fue un tiempo productivo.

>When I got home, my flower was finished but it was missing the leaves and how I would place the flower to my pen, as we know these pens are not eternal and I had to knit something that could be removed and put, so I knitted a palm tree shape in green tone, with pointed leaves and I solved my problem, I already have how to customize my pen, so the waiting time for both my birth certificate and my ID was a productive time.
