Many things did not make sense when I did not know this phrase, but when I heard it, everything changed inside me.

<p><div class="text-justify">So I decided to do a little more research when I got home, and invest my time in something useful instead of sitting and watching TV as if there was no tomorrow. Yes, I know you may ask why I didn't get home to do my homework; and the answer is very simple, I was lazy. But that's not the point, since that's not the main topic of the story.

<p><div class="text-justify">That day when I got home I started looking for as much information as I could about the subject, but I did buy my favorite snacks to enjoy them while I was reading. For some strange reason I sometimes concentrate more on reading when I eat something I like.

<p><div class="text-justify">After reading so much, I saw that there was a way in which you could remember something that you really had stored in your subconscious; and as expected I had to try it, the worst thing that could happen was to fail in the attempt.

<p><div class="text-justify">I followed each and every instruction to the letter, I didn't skip a step. I did it so exactly as I read it, guess what happened? Yes... I did it. I relived just the day I wanted to relive but from early in the morning (Although that was not in my plans, but I guess I did so well that my brain literally searched for the day since it started).

<p><div class="text-justify">My aunt woke me up as usual and went to the kitchen to continue with breakfast. However, she told me to get things done quickly to avoid not giving me time to eat breakfast at home because otherwise, at school I was going to have to eat much faster and I wasn't going to enjoy it.

<p><div class="text-justify">But let's be honest... Do you really think a 6 year old girl was going to hurry when she was so sleepy? Let me answer: NO. I remember my grandmother came by the room and told me “You better hurry up because time is running and it doesn't stop” and even though she told me that nothing changed. I went back to bed and when I woke up for the second time, I was already dressed and ready to run off to school and have breakfast there. Some would say that I was lucky that they didn't wake me up with such a scream, but believe me I paid the consequences of not having acted quickly because I was hungry and the time from the moment I got to school until the bell rang to enter classes, I only had enough time to eat half an sandwich (the good thing is that it was more or less big).

<p><div class="text-justify">Then in the middle of the morning at recess, I saw that some kids had thrown a ball and it was going to hit a little girl next to me. But since my ability to catch the ball was about as good as a fish's ability to fly (i.e. non-existent) the quickest thing I could do was to push her to the ground so the ball wouldn't hit her. She got dirty with the cake she was eating because when she fell she smashed it but, at least the ball didn't hit her.

<p><div class="text-justify">In the afternoon when my grandmother looked for me at school, I told her what had happened with the girl and she told me that I acted well because life is a constant decision making that does not always allow you to think about reflections.

<p><div class="text-justify">Speaking of which, we were waiting to cross, when my foot bent and I was about to fall towards the cars. My grandmother, seeing that in one hand I had my lunch box and in the other I don't remember exactly what I had, held me (and saved me) by the ears with her nails (and it is worth mentioning that they were not short).

<p><div class="text-justify">En clase de psicología en quinto año de bachillerato la profesora nos comentaba que dicen los expertos que aquello que nos marca, se queda para siempre con nosotros aunque creamos no recordarlo. Muchas cosas no tenían sentido cuando no sabía esta frase, pero al escucharla todo cambió dentro de mi.

<p><div class="text-justify">Decidí entonces investigar un poco más al llegar a casa, e invertir mi tiempo en algo provechoso en vez de sentarme a ver televisión como si no hubiese mañana. Sí, ya sé que preguntarán por qué no llegaba haciendo tarea; y la respuesta es muy simple, me daba flojera. Pero ese no es el punto, ya que ese no es el tema principal de la historia.

<p><div class="text-justify">Ese día al llegar a casa me puse a buscar toda la información posible sobre el tema pero eso sí, me compré mis snacks favoritos para disfrutarlos mientras leía. Es que por alguna extraña razón a veces me concentro más en una lectura cuando como algo que me gusta.

<p><div class="text-justify">Después de leer tanto, vi que había una manera en la que podías recordar algo que realmente tuvieras guardado en tu subconsciente; y como era de esperarse yo tenía que intentarlo, lo peor que podía pasar era fallar en el intento.

<p><div class="text-justify">Seguí todas y cada una de las instrucciones al pie de la letra, no me salté ni un paso. Lo hice tan exactamente como lo leí, que adivinen ¿qué pasó? Sí... Lo logré. Reviví justo el día que quería revivir pero desde temprano en la mañana (Aunque eso no estaba en mis planes, pero supongo que lo hice tan bien que mi cerebro buscó literalmente el día desde que comenzó)

<p><div class="text-justify">Mi tía me despertó como de costumbre y se fue a la cocina para seguir con el desayuno. Sin embargo, me dijo que hiciera las cosas rápido para evitar que no me diera tiempo de desayunar en la casa porque sino, en la escuela iba a tener que comer mucho más rápido y no lo iba a disfrutar.

<p><div class="text-justify">Pero seamos honestos... ¿Ustedes de verdad creen que una niña de 6 años iba a apurarse con el sueño que tenía? Dejen les respondo yo: NO. Recuerdo que pasó mi abuela por el cuarto y me dijo "Mejor apúrate porque el tiempo corre y no se detiene" y aunque me lo dijo nada cambió. Me volví a acostar y cuando me desperté por segunda vez, ya estaba vestida y lista para salir corriendo al colegio y desayunar allá. Unos dirán que tuve suerte de que no me despertaron con tremendo grito, pero créanme que después pagué las consecuencias de no haber actuado con rapidez porque lo que tenía era hambre y el tiempo desde que llegué al colegio hasta que sonó el timbre de entrar a clases, sólo me alcanzó para comerme medio sandwich (Lo bueno es que era más o menos grande)

<p><div class="text-justify">Luego a media mañana estando en el recreo, vi que unos niños habían lanzado una pelota y esta le iba a pegar a una niñita que estaba al lado mío. Pero como mi habilidad de atrapar el balón era tan buena como la de un pez para volar (Es decir, inexistente) lo más rápido que pude actuar fue empujarla contra el piso para que la pelota no le pegara. Se ensució con la torta que estaba comiendo porque al caer la destrozó pero, al menos el balón no le pegó.

<p><div class="text-justify">En la tarde cuando mi abuela me buscó en el colegio, le conté lo que había pasado con la niña y me dijo que actué bien porque la vida es una constante toma de decisiones que no siempre te permite pensar en reflexiones.

<p><div class="text-justify">Y hablando justo de eso, estábamos esperando para cruzar, cuando mi pié se dobló y me iba a caer hacia donde venían los carros. Mi abuela al ver que en una mano tenía la lonchera y en la otra no recuerdo con exactitud que tenía, me sostuvo (Y me salvó) por las orejas con sus uñas, (Y cabe destacar que no eran cortas).

<p><div class="text-justify">Lógicamente cuando pasó el carro y pudimos cruzar la calle tranquilamente, llegué llorando al otro lado. Mi abuela por su parte me entendió y limpiándome las lágrimas sólo me dijo:</div></p>
