### Shabbat Shalom

### Like the Alphabet, 
The letters in Hebrew are called the Alef - Beyt and they are presented on my blog from bottom to the top so you can learn them order, then to read them right to left. You will see what the original "Bible" said and what the names meant as they went through the stories of old.


Here is Nun: Symbolizing to be upright - some say it symbolized a fish but not for certain.  The word Nun Vav Nun  (the spelling of the letter) means 'propagate'  to increase, multiply or 'offspring'.

Nun is pronounced 'noon.'  It is the 14th letter.  It is a consonant . It is also the number 50 when used as a number.

The letter sounds like an "N" in English.  Easy.

### As usual, let's take a look at others 
These are letters that look a bit like Nun.  They can be confusing, but you will easily get used to the differences if you just take a closer look.  Spend a moment comparing them.  

Also, many commeents  in my blogs contain the entire alef-beyt and my readers have found almost every style and different fonts and scrypts.  You can find them in those images and compare them as well.

Here you can see both kinds of Nun forms, Nun and Nun Sofit used within a couple words. 
I have pointed out the two letters Nun.  Incidentally, the form of the letter changes but the sound does not.

## Below I have highlighted the eye movements used to read Hebrew.
We must start at the top right, pronounce the letter, then the vowel

Each stroke is numbered 

Then written the pronunciation with the syllables numbered. (I hope this helps until we get audio incorporated).

There is one letter up there that you have not learned yet (rosh) or "R" - sorry about that.   Take a look how we read the Rosh, then the dot above (sounds like "owe") then we read the final Nun 

Read it several times following the blue lines.  I hope you are also reviewing the previous lessons.  And I do appreciate the constructive criticism many  have offered.
