Welcome back to another round in the Hive FPL head to head. 

Let's not dwell too long on last week which seems like both a long time ago and represented a bit of a blood bath as far player selection and points scoring go. As you look down the results from last week, you'll notice that we had one winning score of 4 points while a team in Division 2 actually managed to get a negative points haul in GW29!

To really rub salt into the wounds, there were a good number of teams who ended up with higher scoring benches than their starting XI. We don't need to name, you know who you are! 

Hopefully things will be a little more straight forward in GW30. At the very least, their are 10 matches and 20 teams to choose players from!

However, there will still be challenges this weekend not least of all as a result of the big match between Man City and Arsenal that closes out the game week. Games between the sides at the top of the table have largely been cagey affairs this season and it'd be surprising if this match was any different. 

City did of course win this same fixture 4-1 about this time last season but I'd be very surprised if it was quite such the precession this time around meaning that point scoring for popular assets on both sides could prove tricky. 

The games that managers will be looking at as potential points opportunities are likely to be Spurs' and Liverpool's home fixtures. 

Tottenham take on a Luton side that has shown a huge amount of spirit all season but have they've not won in the league since January and have conceded 27 goals in their last 9 matches across all competitions. Of course Spurs are coming off the back of a very abject performance at Fulham which saw their nearly 12 month scoring streak come to an end and therefore you might expect a bit of a response in this one. 

As for Liverpool, they too will be looking for a reaction after losing late on at Old Trafford in the cup and of course with their closest rivals playing each other then this match represents a great chance for them to return to the top of the league. Brighton meanwhile have struggled away from home this season. A couple of wins against relegation threatened teams aside, you have to go all the way back to September and a 3-1 at Old Trafford for the last time they really played well on the road. 

Of course, all good FPL managers won't just be focusing on this game week, they'll also have an eye what's coming up in the future. We know that double game weeks will have to occur for a number of the big clubs who have been or are still involved in cup competitions. Chelsea for example still have 11 games to play this season and only 9 GWs in which to play them - you do the maths... 

While it's been difficult for managers to justify having any Chelsea assets outside of Cole Palmer, their match this weekend against Burnley plus the promise of multiple double game weeks to come surely makes them worth consideration. 

Before we get into the fixtures for GW30, just to state the obvious, that where a team played a free hit chip in GW29 (and that happened a lot!), I've taken the squad from GW28 for the purposes of comparison.

# GW30 Fixtures

### Division 1

Let's be honest, Legion FC were pretty unlucky to lose their GW29 head to head given that their score of 21 was only bettered by 3 other teams in Division 1 last week. That leaves them in 17th 4 points from safety and with some work to do to make up the difference in total score which could be a crucial factor in the relegation battle. McKane meanwhile march onwards and upwards. Given that Shamzy FC are all but confirmed champions the race at the top now is for the silver medal. 

As far as differentials go, Leno in goal for Fulham is looking like a decent pick for the run-in given his price, his points haul to date and his team's more consistent form in recent weeks. With the news that Sven Botman is out for the season, then Lascelles might be given more game time once again although with both teams having Newcastle centre backs that might not prove as much of an advantage this week. 

Further forward and you'd say that FC McKane are looking in better shape with all 3 of their differentials enjoying home advantage and playing against sides below them in the league. De Bruyne's fitness remains a concern for Legion FC while Jarrod Bowen has scored 3 goals in his last 11 appearances but all 3 came in just a single match! His underlying stats are still pretty good but owners will hope that converts to actual points in the near future.

Whyte FC's excellent form has taken them up to 2nd in the league and a win in this match would allow them to establish a nice little cushion over one of their rivals for the runner-up spot in Nonz FC. 

Lots of differentials to go through in this one. Both sides have Arsenal centre backs who will do well to extract a clean sheet from the Ethiad while Nonz FC also have Ake who appears in the weekend's big fixture. Otherwise Nonz FC will be looking for Dalot and Man Utd to continue their recent form while hoping for a reaction from Villa and Moreno to their 4-0 home defeat in the midlands derby. Whyte FC also have a Villa defender in Pau Torres but his involvement is not certain while Alfie Doughty continues to put up good offensive numbers (10 goal involvements this season). 

Further forward, Kudus has not scored since his return from AFCON while the likes of Elanga and Werner are guaranteed starters for their respective clubs. By contrast, if they're fit, the differentials for Whyte FC will all play and are all in good form at the moment.

Creekside continue their fall down the league with a 3rd straight defeat. The question now is how low can they go? A side like Hiveheadz in 8th is now only 6 points behind them and has won 4 in a row. 

There are not a lot of differentials in this one although Hiveheadz will certainly want to fix a couple of the injury problems they have in their side. Gabriel and Saliba are likely to cancel each other out. That leaves Hiveheadz with Estupinan who has a tough match at Anfield and Branthwaite whose Everton side travel to Bournemouth. Creekside's full backs in Porro and Gusto both play at home against weaker opposition. 

We've highlighted already that Bowen's 2024 form has been poor baring that 1 game in which he scored a hattrick. Kulusevki is one of those players who doesn't really get big fantasy points despite his performances while the opposite can be said of his Spurs teammate Son who has 22 goal involvements in 24 matches this season. 

#### @teofilex11 v @gvkanten

Likodra FC are another side making a late charge up the table and their win last week took them ahead of today's opponents Hungry Lions who managed just 15 points from GW29 despite using their free hit. 

The potential return to the side of Andy Robertson could be massive for both Liverpool and Likodra. You'd fancy the Reds to score at least a couple at home to Brighton and with Robertson having been such a consistent menace over the last 5 seasons then perhaps the run in is the time for him to shine. 

Likodra certainly have the stronger looking midfield with all 4 players enjoying home advantage and at least 3 of them being their club's first choice penalty taker. Hungry Lions can point to the fact that Gordon has a great record at home this season while Haaland as a differential will always give a manager hope regardless of the opposition. 

#### @blockchainfpl v @martinlazizi

Lazz are another side in free fall at the moment having suffered 4 straight defeats to end their title hopes. Another loss here would leave them only 6 points above their opponents BlockchainFPL who until recently were in the relegation zone. 

Plenty of differentials in this one and while BlockchainFPL set up their team nicely for GW29, they can still benefit from a few of their players having decent fixtures in GW30. Williams and Hudson-Odoi have a massively important fixture for Forest at home to Palace. We saw how Everton reacted earlier in the season to a points deduction. Can Forest do the same? Similarly Castagne and Fulham travel to bottom placed Sheffield United while Moreno, Maddison and Toney all benefit from home ties. 

For Lazz, the double Spurs defence offers high risk, high reward at home to Luton who do like a goal themselves. Akanji's game time looks like it may be limited with the return of John Stones to the City side while Saliba and Arsenal play at the Emirates. Further forward and a lot rides on Salah and Solanke both rediscovering fitness and form.

A nice little 6 pointer here between 2 sides next to each other in the league table. The winner will take a big step towards retaining their place in the top flight, while the loser will be left looking nervously over their shoulder at the sides coming up behind them. 

As far as differentials go, this is a rare fixture in which the forward differences outweigh those at the back. Espada Numero Uno may look to bring in a replacement for Regulion otherwise you'd fancy that Augment have the better chance of delivering some clean sheet bonuses. 

In midfield and attack, both teams have 2 players a piece who will be involved in the City v Arsenal game so it could be that the real difference makers come in the form of the remaining 4. In that sense, Espada Numero Uno with Son and Palmer at home to Luton and Burnley respectively look to have the edge.

A massive game at the bottom of the league and one you feel that The Amirians have to win if they've got any chance of remaining in Division 1. I Feel Qatari need the win too and could ideally do with going on that run of 3 or 4 victories to kick start their campaign to avoid the drop. 

I Feel Qatari have doubled up on Arsenal centre backs which given their price and run of fixtures might not be the best way to go. The Amirians have much cheaper options at the back but do face the problem of all their defensive differentials playing away from home this weekend with the exception of Bradley who is not a guaranteed starter for Liverpool. 

Goal scoring wise, there is very little between Solanke and Watkins this season but it is the later's overall goal involvements that make him one of the players of the season. Douglaus Luiz has goal or assist in 4 of his last 6 appearances at Villa Park, while Cole Palmer has the same record in Chelsea's last half a dozen home matches. This one should be close!

Yagman FC just can't quite get their season going as far as the head to head league is concerned. They have the 5th highest points total in Division 1 and are 7th overall in the Hive FPL classic league which suggests that they should be challenging in the top quarter but a defeat today against 15th placed Izanagi FC would leave perilously close to the relegation spots. 

At the back, Izanagi have Ake and Saliba fighting each other for a clean sheet while the best chance of big points from defensive assets looks likely to come in the battle of the full-backs that each side possesses. Form wise, Antonee Robinson looks a good bet at the moment with the Fulhma man having delivered either a clean sheet bonus or goal involvement in 5 of his last 8 games. 

Further forward, Izanagi FC have kept faith with Bruno Fernandes who has rewarded them with 3 goal involvements in his last 3 Premier League appearances. Otherwise, it's a straight shoot out between City midfielders and the respective top goal scorers of Spurs and Bournemouth to decide this one.

Content Creators got a much needed win to move them off the bottom but they'll need to follow that up with a couple more in quick succession if they are to begin to hope of escaping the relegation zone. Thoth442 FC meanwhile sit very much in midtable but a win today could move them up to as high as 5th. 

Plenty of differentials in this one across all areas of the pitch. Either side could opt for a keeper in the big match between City and Arsenal and more generally their are 7 further differentials that are represented in that game. Whether both sides decide to utilise them all remains to be seen. 

Instead, this head to head might well be decided between the likes of Solanke and Watkins on one side or Salah, Darwin and Gordon on the other. All 5 enjoy home advantage and Liverpool at home to a Brighton side that's leaked a lot of goals in recent away games looks very appealing. Does Nunez have his shooting boots on today?

Both teams won last week with Shamzy now having at least 1 hand on the head to head title and pulling away at the top of the classic league too. With the Hive Cup starting next week who is to say they can't win a historic treble? Suffragette City got an important to ensure they remain very much in the battle to stay up with big matches to come after this one. 

Suffragette City hold an advantage at the back in as far as player availability is concerned with Shamzy having only 3 fit defenders and White and Estupinian having tough away games. 

Son and Spurs will be looking for a reaction to a very disappointing GW29 when they play at home to Luton. Both managers have Luton assets that they could deploy in that game and based on recent results there may be goals for both teams. Alternatively, a resurgent United travelling to a struggling Brentford could prove an opportunity for both teams to score points via Fernandes and Dalot.
