The new Fantasy Premier League season is almost here and as [recently announced](https://peakd.com/hive-115900/@hivefpl/season-2-of-hive-fpl-is-coming-soon), Hive FPL will be adding Head to Head leagues to run alongside the Classic League in 2023/24. 

All leagues will formally open for players to join as soon as the 23/24 season launches (in 2-3 weeks time) and as far as the Head to Head leagues are concerned, the specific Division that you are placed in and prizes on offer will be dependent on your ranking in the 22/23 Classic League.

### Which division will I be in for the Head to Head leagues in 23/24? 

Head to Head leagues are only open to those with a confirmed Hive account linked to their FPL team. 

This year we will have 3 Divisions based on rankings in the 22/23 Classic League

**Division 1** - Top 20 ranked Hive accounts  

**Division 2** - Ranked 21 - 60 Hive accounts 

**Division 3** - Ranked 61 and below and all new players with a Hive account

### How and when do I join my division? 

As soon as the FPL game opens for 23/24 (we anticipate this will be in mid July) we'll create a separate post with further information and a reminder for our top 20 players to join Division 1. 

The league joining code will be sent to these accounts as a memo within a transaction that will appear in your Hive wallet. 

Players will be given 5 days to join the Division 1 league. 

If after 5 days, the league hasn't reached 20 players, we will begin inviting those currently listed in Division 2 to join Division 1 until we have a full league (20 teams). 

As soon as we have a full league for Division 1, we will repeat the same process with Division 2 and then Division 3. 

### What happens if I join the wrong division or miss the deadline for joining? 

We will boot you out of the division if you join the wrong league but really this shouldn't happen providing that you only use the joining code within your Hive wallet transactions. 

We are providing this information as early as possible so that hopefully no one misses the deadline for joining their league. We expect the FPL game to open in the next 2 or 3 weeks time, so keep checking back throughout that time. We will tag you in a follow-up post once the FPL game does open to remind you that you have 5 days to use the join code in your wallet transactions before we give your spot in a higher division to someone else! 

If you attempt to join a division after the deadline, you will be booted out and are likely to find yourself in division 3. 

### I didn't take part in the 22/23 season, can I still join the Head to Head leagues this year? 

Yes, you can and you're also welcome to join our Classic League (details on that in another post). 

If you are a new player of Hive FPL, we'll invite you to join and share your team name and Hive account later in July.

### Will the divisions remain the same for all future seasons? 

No, we'll be introducing a promotion and relegation system as follows

Depending on the number of accounts that join, we may change the above as far as relegation from Division 2 and promotion from Division 3 is concerned. We will confirm this at the start of the EPL season proper in August. 

### What are the prizes? 

The main prize will still be linked to our Classic League (our winner last year @deniskj took home over 1000 Hive!) and we'll post the joining link for that as soon as the FPL starts. 

Head to Head leagues will offer participants the chance to earn Hive on a weekly basis simply by winning their head to head match with another user during that game week. 

Prizes for each Division as follows

In total, 760 Hive will be available to be won by teams competing in the Hive FPL Head to Head leagues in 23/24. 

These may increase in future years as a our funds and the number of participating accounts grow. 

The clear incentive here is to remain active within the community, update your team on a weekly basis and get promoted to the higher divisions where prizes are higher!
